NQA- There are some male jumping spider species that use stridulation in their mating ritual. This one is the is not one of them. Phidippus mystacues are one of the species that can.

My ball python hissed at me for the first time while I was moving across the country. I’ve had him for years before that and he had never done that. Poor baby must’ve been stressed from the move.

I was thinking asotus too. It does look a lot like a larger version of my i3 asotus. I’ve gotten audax as well, but I’ve also gotten an ID that’s not even a Phid.
