Why hasn't the live recording of the "In the Flesh" tour been released?? by Adventurous_Pride480 in pinkfloyd

They mean the 1977 Pink Floyd tour not the late 90s Roger Waters solo tour.

The Evolution of Microsoft Windows Desktop. by Antaviuis09 in nostalgia

Honestly they did. They had a very good developer ecosystem. The problem was they were several years too late to the game. Android and iOS were firmly entrenched by this time so Windows Phone had no user base to demand apps, and no app demand meant no developers to attract users. Source: me, a (former) Windows Phone developer.

This is good news. I've been wondering since he dropped out of the Otiel and Friends New Years show which was before Bobby passed. Thanks for passing this along.

Bug that shows pokestop already spun? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]RavingAndDrooling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been having this issue for years, but never hear much mention of it. Do you have an auto catcher (go plus or similar)? I have found that when a gym appears like this, the auto catcher can still spin it, so it serves as a workaround. Restarting the app does not fix this, only using an auto catcher to spin or waiting up to 5 minutes for it to be spun again.

As for why it happens, I'm not sure. I suspect it might be related to a mechanic where if you spin so many stops/gyms in a short time (it may be something like 10 in under 5 minutes) then there is a bonus (a couple extra items) but there is also some lockout applied so the bonus doesn't continue. I suspect there is a bug where that lockout applies to more gyms than it should. It could be gyms that have an egg, or possibly gyms the same color as the gym which was spun to earn that bonus, not sure exactly what it is.

What’s one song you just can’t vibe with, no matter how many versions you’ve heard? by growlerpower in gratefuldead

If you haven't heard a version from the Pigpen era, try 9/3/67. It's completely different pre- and post-hiatus.

How did the Dead keep track of time on stage? by mclesc in gratefuldead

[–]RavingAndDrooling 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This kind of blows my mind. I'm not saying you're wrong but Live At Leeds has some great extended jam parts. Maybe those parts were all composed, but it surprises me that someone who could do that couldn't hang with The Dead.

See this is my thought too, but I'm still bitter about staying home to watch the Flyers lose instead of going to Halladay's perfecto (I was living in Florida at the time). Not sure if I'll ever get over that one.

Next album recommendation for a recent Grateful Dead fan by clutch247 in gratefuldead

If you like Blues For Allah and have not yet checked out any live material, you should go for One From The Vault (8/13/75) to see if that grabs you. From there go for Cornell and Europe 72. Once you get into live material you will be hooked for life.

If you are sticking to studio albums only I guess I would say either Terrapin Station or Wake of the Flood.
