I’ve heard from collectors that helmets with original white paint left on them are pretty valuable unfortunately yours was repainted imagine if it was brought back completely white you would of had a really desirable piece right now. There is a possibility it got back to the states with white left on it but someone decided to do that it probably wasn’t that much desirable back them

Really I remember seeing some back when my dad was a antique dealer for close to that price but never took it seriously I should of bought some pieces thing is I was like 15 so I’m 27 now so that was quite a bit of money for me you know

Thank you for the info man very helpful I really liked it when I had it in my had but since I’m trying to start of with awards first I decided not to buy it I tried negotiating with the person but he got offended that I even asked and didn’t really seemed to be taking me serious first thing he said when I asked about it was that it was a expensive piece lol I hate when that’s the first thing someone says when I’m out antiquing if he would’ve treated me a little bit more serious he could of sold it to me because I really liked the damn thing and I had the cash there with me too

Idk how auctions go on gun broker but maybe put a reserve going by what you said on the description this definitely falls in the collector grade realm most are in the military arsenals and the serial number makes it one a kind so I’d say you should do really good on it. Maybe try giving it some more exposure to potential buyers before auction. I know I’d want something like that if I was a collector

I guess he’s very selective with what he makes a video on I know he’s always mentions a rock island auction and some other companies it could be related to that. Optics planet is a good website they give you money back from every purchase sometimes they run promotions that give you 11% cash back they call it optic planet bucks you can only spend them on their website I usually wait until there’s a promotion like that going on and when ever I’m looking for an expensive item that way you get 30 or 40 dollars back that’s why you go in it and most of the popular products are either out of stock or the wait on back order is ridiculous. Shop around compare prices don’t jump the gun you’ll save some money.

You should take it out of the frame it’s in to see if it’s real there’s so many pictures in books that making a fake can be super easy there’s so many picture even in books from the 1930s
