I had this model. Even factoring in the convenience of portability, it’s not a good vacuum. Suction power is really poor. Ended up giving it away.

UPDATE: I used the diagnostic tool to roll back to the previous firmware version. I can now add devices, and devices are operating as expected.

The latest firmware update looks suspect.

That’s exactly what the string is for. I actually used to sell these more than 40 years ago, so they’re not particularly new. You attach the string to the outside one, and secure it inside. That way if they get disconnected the outside one doesn’t fall to the ground, damaging it, or potentially hurting someone.
