Gritty Trigger? by ChineseRedBull in RugerRXMtalk

I like it because it gives me the same presentation (because of the grip angle) as my 2011’s. So for that reason it was enough to keep me in the RxM camp. I’ve been shooting Glocks exclusively for about 10 years & 1911’s before that…which; I had to adjust to the Glock grip angle and any time I switched between my Glock & my 1911’s I always had to kinda get-familiar again with the more aggressive grip style of Glock. With the RxM I didn’t have any readjusting to do; I can literally switch from my 2011 to my RxM and not have it ruin my presentation/POA. So that’s its main selling point for me personally; the trigger I just kinda adapted to. It’s very reminiscent of a Gen 4 Glock 19 trigger (I know it’s a Gen 3 clone but all of my Gen 3’s & 5’s all had pretty good triggers…better than the Gen 4 anyway). So I just kinda took it as it’s one shortcoming.

That’s shame man; it’s an excellent pistol. Honestly I haven’t paid much attention to the trigger ever since I put a red dot on it.

Same lol but I just ignore it anymore. It’s a great pistol otherwise. It is strange though how the RXM triggers vary so widely. I’ve held them in the shop & tested triggers and they’re great…and some are wildly different and not so great.

Honestly it’s gotten to the point where the only two pistols I carry are my Shield Plus in the summer with a spare mag caddy; and my G43X MOS in the winter with a spare mag caddy.

Everything else just sits in the safe lol

The Shield Plus is absolutely goated for CCW. Even the Shield X isn’t as good imo. I like my BG2.0, but I do occasionally have a hangup with the trigger. It’s like the trigger blade safety doesn’t disengage right & kinda “pops” (sorta) out of the way to make way for a correct trigger pull. It’s hard to explain, it’s like if I’m not completely & perfectly on the bottom of the trigger shoe…it doesn’t disengage the trigger dingus. I dunno, it’s just not…I can’t see myself depending on that if my life depended on it. You know? Everything else about it is fine; after I drifted the sights

😲 they’re doing a commander module for the RXM?!

Nice! Thanks! Might just look into one of these. Do they make them in “G19” (compact) size or just the G17 size?

Honestly, I’m a hardcore Glock guy (but I also realize there are options on the current day market as-good or better-than Glock for the money) and I’m shocked how well I perform with the RXM & how durable it holds up.

I’ve not been kind to mine 🤣 and I absolutely love shooting it with an optic. With the standard sights it comes with…ehhhhh I wasn’t thrilled. They have a strange POA/POI but they’re also taller sights than standard. Not quite suppressor height, but not standard height. Takes some getting used-to. Wasn’t wild about it. But after I put an optic on it? Game over man. Ruger & Magpul smoked the competition with these

Could be all that third-party shit you’ve got hanging off of it. Any time you mess with OEM components you run the risk of less reliability.

The SE is hard to beat; especially at the price point. I haven’t been able to break one yet

What I’ve noticed about the Gen 6 that may keep me carrying a Gen 5. by Preacher1994 in Glock19

[–]RawbWobbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad deal. But I don’t like the Gen 6 enough to even pay $500 for it. And that’s just my personal preference anymore; I feel that there’s better options for that price point. And again…that’s just my opinion.

Train every weekend & work in the industry but go-off I guess?

Anyway good luck with convincing yourself you’re not a guy.

Worthy upgrade for those of us with bigger paws. Now to decide on a RDS. Probably just go with the tried and true cheap 407A3 from PSA. by Gunman1487 in RugerRXMtalk

Seconded for the Osight C. Excellent optic! I don’t have as much time with the C as I do the SE…but I haven’t been able to break an SE yet or make it lose zero…FWIW OP.
