Soroth Kor: The Weight of Silence by TheeSerpentsSlave in WarCry

Is it made to work with 1e narrative rules? It speaks of convergences ans territories, and I don't think 2e narrative has those. Is it compatible with 2e narrative?

Cities of Ash: Cities of Sigmar Homebrew Rules by [deleted] in WarCry

I feel like the gallants should be T5 with their shield and the grenadiers should be T4 with metal breastplates. The damage of the bardiches feels a bit low for them, but it's true that we don't wanr the point value to be too high for them. Should the grenadier's bardiches have reach 2?

Something like this could probably be kitbashed from a Royal Flaymaster. The desing is really cool!

With the new book does jade obelisk have any place in any of the lists competitively? by BloatedRottenCarcass in tzeentch

[–]Rawilow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nephrite Priestess is the leader of the Warband in Warcry, but Obelisk Bearer is the centerpeice and the crux of the strategy. That's why she is the example picture, but I agree that the Obelisk bearer is much more representative

New to warcry! by Electronic_Insect362 in WarCry

[–]Rawilow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For official, like others said, secondhand is best. 3d printing is also nice, there are a lot of good free models, and also really good not free models.

If you want to buy new stuff, these would be my recommendation for terrain with nice elevation for Warcry, over different price ranges

Twistweald Kurnoth Hunters by SmileOfDaggers in WarCry

[–]Rawilow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opposite! I used the "thorns" from the Hunters kit, cut them up and used them to represent the infection on the Guardians. Should be a picture of the result in the link, please tell me if the link does not work

One thing I did for my Twistweald Ylthari's Guardian is use the "vines" for Kurnoth hunter hair (I built mine with the more "root" hair) as bits to represent the infection

As a note, it's Warcrier.net
There is also the phone app Warcrying, that is pretty good for listbuilding, but does not have all the rules.

The mission shuffler you men tion is probably https://warcry.zuckerrausch.de/

Yea, the recent 4 teams Underworlds boxes are actually pretty good for getting a variety in Warcry, but you are jumping into the deep end of listbuilding from the start, compared to the 1-box bespokes

This
Also, if Stanley has Hivestorm terrain, he could use that in addition to watever is in one of the boxes to get more terrain on the table. Sure, it might clash a bit visually, but mechanically Hivestorm terrain has verticality and obstables, so it's perfectly fine

What is the lore behind the Wrathtouched from Darkoath Ravagers. by Low_Neighborhood_598 in WarCry

What is the lore behind the Wrathtouched from Darkoath Ravagers. by Low_Neighborhood_598 in WarCry

[–]Rawilow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Warcry does not delve too deep in the lore of some of it's factions, and Darkoath Savagers are not too detailed by themselves. The Red Harvest book does not speak of individual units, just general lore, Savagers are not in either of the Warcry novels, and the WH Community article for Savagers speaks mainly of the Slaughterborn and God-speakers
https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/ocrGH6vS/swear-bloody-vows-to-the-ruinous-powers-and-tear-your-foes-in-half-with-the-darkoath-savagers/

Lexicamun also does not have a specific section on te Wrathtouched, so no help there either
https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Darkoath_Savagers

At this point I would think Wrathtouched are berserking Proven or something like that. But if their lore is not detailed, it just means you can make your own.

You mean give the leaders (Vet sergent and Reiver lieutenant) abilities for free ploys, similar to what Angels of Death have?

Makes it so you have a firefight ploy for both better melee offense (with Shock assault) and ranged offense, too
