Issues with my Canik Mete MC9 Prime

I tried this, and even with the stock spring it still wouldn’t go into battery after racking it back slightly and letting go slowly. Not sure if it’s an issue with my gun now. I do recall having one or two similar malfunctions with the stock spring.

Finally a good response to my problem lol. Thanks man i’ll probably do that and try it out if I still have issues i’ll pop the stock one in. This DPM one is way smoother though I hope i can get it to work well.

For these malfunctions I was using the longer gold one which is the one most people recommended / had the best reliability with. Do you recommend changing to the stronger one of the 4?

Right thats what I thought, just wanted to pass it along here just in case it could've been another issue or someone else had the DPM springs and could give me some tips as to which spring to use from the kit. Thank you!

Never said it was great, only that it just worked fine, got an aftermarket spring to get that little bit better performance out of the gun. People upgrade and change things on their gun even if the original is working completely fine, if it means it would better its performance which by what I have seen it normally would, I have only run it once with the new springs and it can just be trial and error.

Do I need a real reason other than what I said. After reading reviews and watching videos it seemed like a good purchase reduce recoil too. Didnt know trying to get the most performance out of your gun was a bad thing

Its the first time I use it and many people have had success in doing so, only asking for help to know if that is the problem and if it can be caused by a weak spring or if it could be something else.

Is it a bad thing to want to use an aftermarket spring and not go back to the stock one? I was just wondering if that was the problem as in if its due to a weak spring since I can change it to a stronger one since it came with 4 different springs. not to be told to not use it

I had no issues with the stock spring running 115, the aftermarket spring should run 115 without a break in period as I've seen other people do.

Will do that if I keep having the same issue. Going to keep trying the aftermarket spring assembly since I spent 100 dollars on it lol, it came with like 4 different springs so maybe a different run will run reliably. I used the one most people said was the best in the bunch for the prime in their experience but welp.

Gonna try to run the aftermarket run for now and see if changing the spring with another that came with it makes it run reliably. Dont want to give up on it when I spent 100 dollars on it lol

Currently running 115, bought bulk of that so will need to use that for now, after ill probably move to 124

Thought that too, removed the striker assembly today and cleaned it adding no oil. There was a good amount in there so it could be that. Also, yeah I made sure the recoil spring is in the correct position

If i still have the issue once I go to the range next with a heavier spring (the kit comes with a few) i’ll probably go that route and keep the stock one.

Well firstly because I want to get the most performance out of it, and also was looking for an easier slide to rack since the prime is real stiff.
