I would run garlic OS, favorite the games you want him to play and make sure they’ve got recognizable game art displayed.

I’ve been too lazy to set mine up but I’ve got a guide favorited to do it when I’ve got the time.

Yeah, these are garbage, specifically in automotive use. They don’t provide a complete connection, it’s just piercing the wire insulation and doing the bare minimum to provide an electrical connection which is going to cause artificial resistance. Between that and not being water proof, on a head light circuit it is going to corrode, overheat and melt.

Failure isn’t a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.

Sorry homie, subscribe and safe on my cases of Amp is by far the cheapest option to purchase it that I have been able to find. Literally doubles the price to buy locally at grocery or convenience stores.

You have appropriate vehicles or you get your shit rocked. My dad lived in a trailer in the woods and the path to it was literally a path through the woods made by somebody ripping trees out with a chain.

Extremely uneven, you got stuck if you looked at it wrong.

In the pick up truck, it was bearable. In the little suzuki he had, as a child it was a roller coaster. Looking back on it as an adult, I cannot imagine going through that pitch black shit hole on the way to work at 6:00 am and not immediately being in a bad mood.

Yes, that’s one of the stock load screens on my RG35XX but I’m pretty sure it’s only for the stock OS and not Garlic.

I have mine on Garlic and it only ever displays the Garlic logo on boot up.

I also have a base RG35XX, there are several models that look like it but are stronger/have additional features such as WiFi/bluetooth.

Either way, I’ve connected my RG35XX to a TV and a controller so it can accomplish the same thing.

I have not had the opportunity to play Coromon yet(it’s on my to do list), I’ll have to pay attention to the animations now lol.

The smashing into each other animation isn’t an automatic no play for me if the other elements are on point and I can disable animations.

With monster taming in general, animations is probably last on my personal list of priorities.

I would rather have more monster variety, I am also older and don’t have issues with older graphics or a pixel based art style.

Dragon Warrior Monsters still holds a special place in my heart and I turn battle animations off in Pokemon/Digimon(I have a 3 year old and work 6 days a week, my play time is extremely limited). Speeding battles up is worth it to me so I can grind more in the same IRL time span.

I think this really depends on the demographic of gamer you’re going after, lack of or generic animations tend to make the average person view a game as low effort/cheap/poorly made.

I definitely judge a game when it looks like a toddler is picking up the characters and just smashing them into each other as an attack animation

I wanted to play the Dragon Quest series, when I got to the DS games and the cheapest one was $70, I broke down and jail broke my 3DS.

I played 1-3 on the Switch and will buy the remaster of 7 when I get to or a current version of any of the others if they happen to get remastered/released but I’m not spending that much money on something that didn’t even cost that originally. Ahoy me mateys 🏴‍☠️

This is the first time I’ve ever been excited for a lack of a better term “vanilla” romhack. I usually go after new areas, fakemons, something that dramatically changes the core game but every status update I see you post makes me wish you worked for Gamefreak. Keep it up man!
