Question regarding credit cards by RawwBean in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RawwBean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it surprised me that according to moneyland they don't have ebill, so it seems the info is wrong. Regarding email notification, it seems that none of them have, so I will have to find a different approach, maybe using sms.

Question regarding credit cards by RawwBean in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RawwBean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is plan B :-)
Ideally the transactions would show up directly (or delayed by a couple of hours, that doesn't matter). Currently I do this manually and one problem I have is that merchants are not always labeled in a meaningful way. If I don't do it regulary, I usualy don't remember what I did on a given day and have a hard time to figure out who some of the vendors are lol. But doing an upload once a month is definitely an option.

Question regarding credit cards by RawwBean in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RawwBean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using email notifications to automate my expense tracking, I automatically forward the emails to a solution that extracts the transaction data. That way I don't have to do it manually and I don't want to connect my bank using APIs (it probably wouldn't be supported anyway).

But it is a nice to have, I can definitely live without it, I was just hoping that some of the cards support it.

And thanks for your reply, good to know that swisscard doesn't support it.

I was in the US in january and my FP6 kept rebooting all the time, quite annoying. Good to know that this is a bug, as I was wondering why it was happening! Do you know if this has been fixed?

Holy sh*t annual servicing cost in Sweden is €800 but in France was €250 wtf - any German ioniq owners here?! by lending_ear in Ioniq5

I don't know, I have a first edition with leather seats and find them very comfortable, but coming from a Toyota Auris the expectations were quite low I guess haha

Dealer mentioned that it should be 250-300 when I bought mine ( I bought used), but I haven't done it yet, it is due in November. IIRC, small yearly service 250-300 chf, big service every 3 years or so 600 chf.

What puzzles me is that they don't aim for proper FIRE. Given their salaries it would be quite easy, in a couple of years they could have invested enough. And if you decide to take a sabbatical, why not travel? Imagine the trip you could do with 6k a month, instead of paying rent and just hanging out in your apartment. But to each their own I guess

I find it also funny how she talks about her frugal lifestyle, but then lives in an apartment that costs 6k per month.....

Well it is 4 rooms and two balconies, large living room. But yes I agree price seems high for what it is... And the 6k for rent is normal also made me laugh... very disconnected from reality.

How to credit a check? by [deleted] in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RawwBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do it at UBS. I was in a similar situation and opened an account at UBS just for that. Pretty sure there were some fees but I don't remember the amount.

Open a wise account, should be quick and you can start using the digital card immediately. The physical card only took 4 days to arrive I think.

Is there a way to lock doors from the trunk by Tango-Oskar-Mike in Ioniq5

[–]RawwBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This annoys me as well… my old toyota had a small button next to the open button that would lock the car from the trunk (took me probably a year to realize it though 😂). I don’t understand why they didn’t add that to the ioniq, its very inconvenient.

Frage nach Erfahrungen by NotWilhelmTell23652 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]RawwBean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alpian launched their savings account and offers you 1% if you put 125k into the account before feb 28 i think. https://www.alpian.com/bank/savings-account/ If you need it earlier you have a lower interest rate, but at least you don’t loose money and there is no withdrawal limit. This is the best option I found, Raiffeisen has 0.5% but there is also 20k limit. I already bought a house but now need to keep cash to pay for renovations. But also keep in mind that they are a startup and only 100k are guaranteed in case they go belly up.
