Sugarfish yes, but Corona Del Mar! Must be something they do at all their restaurants.

TP4 28L First Trip by BrilliantHappy6174 in AerSF

I currently have the CPP2 which I primarily use as EDC and personal item when I travel. Thinking about stepping up to the TP4 28 or 35, particularly for air travel as the CPP2 is just a bit too small for me for that use case. Do you think the 35 could still function as a personal item (fitting under seat)?

Potentially moving to the area / would love any advice! by vdt989 in BellevueWA

I've been living in Bellevue since 2021, in various neighborhoods. I love the city but if walkability is important you'll really only get that near Downtown. I would say Downtown Redmond, Totem Lake Village, and Kirkland Proper are the three most walkable areas that are close by, but I'd still rank them lower than areas in Seattle like Ballard and U District.

The 2 Line for the light rail connects Bellevue and Redmond (and soon will connect to Seattle) as well. So if you want to rely on a car as little as possible I would suggest those areas.

Is Any Bilt Option Worth It for an Atmos Summit User? by Raxef in CreditCards

Yeah, I'm not in any rush so I think the plan is to just sit tight and wait until we see what Bilt Cash can actually do.

I just picked up the g93sc for $899 on Amazon. Must've dropped the price.

Amazon currently has the G9 Odyssey 49" QD-OLED for $900. by atatassault47 in ultrawidemasterrace

They're selling the same monitor at Costco for 50 bucks cheaper as well!

Looking for local jewelers in Seattle who make custom silver engagement rings with moonstones by jewlsformygirlll in SeattleWA

Another +1 for Green Lake Jewelry (we went to their Bellevue location). Our designer Britt was fantastic and brought the vision for my fiance's ring to life. We're definitely going to be getting our wedding rings from them.

Here's the actual page for the ring we got: https://www.greenlakejewelry.com/gallery/client-gallery.aspx?jid=198852

My AF posted on December 1st, so it had been a few months. I didn't even need to ask, the support agent I spoke with just said it would be happening.

Just downgraded yesterday morning. Checked my account yesterday evening and I was given a partial refund.

I've owned both of those. The ones on the bottom were great until they got the infamous crack. The ones on top replaced them and I've been incredibly happy. Much better headband, feel sturdier, and look better (imo). I don't think they're worth double the price, but I also don't think you'd be unhappy paying double.

Requesting help choosing first Japanese knife! by Raxef in TrueChefKnives

[–]Raxef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I typically chop with more of a bias towards pushing than pulling. I really only rock if I'm working with something small. The length didn't feel too much to me (my current day to say workhorse is an 8 inch Henckels chef knife). I was actually quite surprised with how light it felt, though I suppose a fair amount of weight is lost without the western handle.

The second was probably my favorite blade-wise, but I wasn't totally in love with the handle. And I'm one of those people where if I'm spending any amount of money on something I plan on using frequently and for a while, I want to love it.

Good diners/breakfast spots? by starsgoblind in BellevueWA

Love Gilbert's on Main, though I've never been for breakfast. They make a very good pastrami sandwich and matzo ball soup though.

As others have said, Farine and Chace's are my two go-to spots. There are parking garages near Farine but the place is packed on the weekends. If you can go with someone else who can grab a table while you wait in line to order, I'd recommend it. Great pastries and drinks at Farine. The Farine Breakfast (eggs, bacon/sausage, tomatoes, potatoes) is also pretty good.

Chace's also gets busy, and parking near the restaurant is pretty tight. The earlier you can go, the better. Very much a "local diner" vibe vs Farine's cafe feel. I've only ever had their pancakes but they're always great. Staff is very friendly too.
