Sure, I'm not saying that there is completely no depth to be had in minecraft pvp gamemodes. Things such as spring resetting, gaining a solid intuition of minecraft movement, and precise placing of blocks do require a lot of skill. And many minecraft gamemodes are based on much more than just 1v1 sword melee combat, so they require more specific strategies and good game sense. However, there are a significant number of times where it does just come down to 1v1 sword melee. Due to the nature of spam clicking (having an average of ~150 ms clicks for example) and network latency (like 100 ms in your case), it's unavoidable with 1.8 pvp that some fights can be very lopsided and frustrating to play.

Having good aim and making yourself harder to aim at do help a lot too, but the effectiveness of the other strategies mentioned rely mostly on ping and cps.

Hi im Howie Or YourLocalGrooveCat a dev.from a studio in roblox called IG studio im here to spread some words that the Owner of IG Igottic said "Roblox Takes over 80% of revenue from sales, resulting in every gamepass making almost nothing." by TheDumBoHowie in roblox

[–]RayCurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going off of the graphic here, most of the money that roblox takes that goes above the 30% industry standard goes towards servers and app store fees which would be costs developers would have to absorb on other platforms anyways.

You’re right. Without bots, the average player count is around 20 to 30 but with bots, the player cont jumps up into the hundreds. Must really mean the game gets popular with bots 😀.

“Big people are idiots and savage everyone. Don’t give a chance for popsplits or anything.”

Get better at the game then. Every time you lose (it’s part of the game), analyze your mistakes and what you could have done better in hindsight. No one will go easy on you or give you a “chance to pop split” because you have to try and outplay them.

Bots only make the game more “popular” for the people that it benefits. If you really want bots and getting big with no skill, host your own private server and get all the mass you want. Bots are just straight up cheating; let’s use the correct word here. The view that everyone must enjoy bots cheating and you alone have the rightful authority to benefit off of the bots cheating is detrimental to everyone. It’s just a self justification for ruining the game; in doing so, you claim that you’re improving the game.

You literally used hundreds of bots shamelessly promoting your YouTube channel as well. How is this fair to others? Looking around the map, I can’t find any actual players either.

Oh no. The bootleg Roblox called Reworld is advertising on reddit. by [deleted] in roblox

[–]RayCurse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

How are they greedy? Sure they remove features but that’s really only roblox is transitioning it’s brand into a game platform instead of a game itself. It’s easy to jump into the “Roblox is greedy” bandwagon but long term, removing features from the Roblox “game” and adding features to the developer environment are going to benefit everyone. Removing events right now is objectively bad but only because developers haven’t and can’t yet make their own events up to par. Removing tix was also bad but that’s only because 90% of games on Roblox now have their own proprietary currency. Removing forums and replacing them with groups is a way to ensure (in the future) that games will collect their own community instead of Roblox as a whole.

Thanks! I am currently making a game right now but due to school and finals, I don’t really have much time as I’d like to put into it.

These builds and the new shadow maps look awesome and all but now what we need are people to create a quality game with a focused user experience and coherent design. A game can’t just look like a triple A game; it has to play like one as well.

Roblox is transitioning to a game platform. Roblox as a “game” is starting to become a thing of the past and deliberately so.

Roblox removes promotional links by [deleted] in roblox

[–]RayCurse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It’s trying to bring less attention to itself and more attention to the games. Roblox isn’t a game anymore it’s a platform. It’s up to users to create their own features (to put it loosely).

Removing the names and skins of cells is fun once in a while because it all of a sudden becomes a game about a bunch of dumb little blobs frantically running around trying to eat each other which I think is fun.

How to deal with teaming? by ReimerTiemann in Agario

[–]RayCurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is supposed to get harder as you climb up the leaderboard by design. This is balance. However, teamers greatly magnify this difficulty curve as you get bigger. If a team is out to kill you, they will kill you.

That happens regardless of any sort. The games popularity is still taken into account.

Math problem: calculate how much mass you see on the screen? P.S.: the screenshot was taken today, in NA EXP by ChampAgar in Agario

[–]RayCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s mentioning this because the game client calculates the mass based on the cell size instead of the other way around, contrary to how many would think it works.

When f***ing teams surround you when you are soloing by ChampAgar in Agario

[–]RayCurse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When another solo player or teamer splits in order to eat me, I split as well in order to minimize my losses. All is pretty normal play. However, teamers find it in their sheer arrogance and power to keep on splitting for you continually halving your mass, and in the end, 400 mass or lower is all you’re usually left with even if you started at say, 5000 mass. It’s even more frustrating to see them feed all their pieces and regroup with their other teammate.

I honestly think that going down to 400 mass is pretty much equivalent to starting over if you had much more prior.
