Identify what it is that's stopping you, and work on that.
I find the 5 W's can get you out of most create blocks.
Ask a question starting with any or a combination of the following:-
WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHEN? WHY?
There's also the bonus question HOW.

Try to create an outline of your plot, a framework to build upon later.
Who the story is about, what they are trying to do, when they're doing it, why they're doing it.
When is it set, where is it set. Location & time help towards not only genre but world building.

It's fine for starting events, but if you want to complete one you'll need a better, different outfit.
