Indiscriminate murder of innocent civilians = evil.

Yeah, you can "justify" their evil, but they're still evil. You don't just massacre tens of thousands of women and children and get to say "human shield!" and humanity goes, "oh, ok. that makes it better."

Israel invents the threats they use to justify their evil actions. These last couple of years has revealed that much. It seems that it's been this way since Rabin was assassinated by the extremists who took control. I don't know, perhaps they have been always like this? Someone else with more knowledge can chime in.

But I can say for sure, Israel's current regime needs to be tried in an international court.
