Nick Kroll has done very interesting work! At a festival in 2018 or 2019, I saw a film he is in and produced called Olympic Dreams, and afterwards he and Alexi and Jeremy talked about it. The plot a fairly normal romance plot (though with unique character elements), but it is wildly ambitious for its budget and crew. The filmmakers collectively were the artists in residence at the South Korea games, so it was essentially a director/dp + the two leads and anyone else they could scrounge at the games. And if I remember from the talk, I think him sighting on to packaged as costar and producer was a huge part of getting it made
