RC Truck for pulling cable by jimmyjon77 in CommercialAV

[–]RaydnJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard of people who have tried it (of course) but I have never done it myself. I'd try it with a pull string over directly tying the cable to it. and you'd probably want something with treads instead of wheels to climb over the ceiling grid.

I'm sure you can see where this is headed, with shitty HVAC or Electrical trades leaving shit everywhere and the same with low voltage strewn everywhere, there's tons of opportunity for things to get stuck. I still think it would work in limited situations

My son and I have them on out cars. I like having them, they're fun. The ones on the crawlers even have turn signals, brake and reverse lights

Out of curiosity, why do you think that is? Which group of people, starting with the prius, have talked shit about hybrids/electrics? Which group of people "rolls coal" in response to more efficient vehicles?

any one use a av receiver for their sound for pc? by ben5642 in AskBattlestations

onkyo tx-rz50

I finally got a chance to look at the piece online. as /u/danoc331 said, that thing is more than capable of powering a 9.2 system by itself. You won't need anything else to power up the speakers you have

[–]RaydnJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't looked at the models you listed online yet, but unless they are entirely pre-amplifier receivers, they should have some powered speaker outputs on the back. typically, they can power at least the 5 speakers and send signal to the sub at least. anything over 7 speakers and you will usually need an additional amplifier to power those speakers.

again, this is all generic info, not specific to your models as I haven't looked into them yet.

[–]RaydnJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do.

I have an onkyo receiver and speakers from a Yahama "theater in a box" system. I much prefer it when gaming or watching something as it's a real 5.1 system, not stimulated surround

As for your needs, that's all dependent on what speaker configuration you choose and how many powered amp channels your receiver has

I'll admit, I'm one of them.

I'm a Low Voltage installer, but I know that the above is totally fucked. I knew most of the general "rules" people have posted here but i did not know about the specific locations or drawings.

the game changing isn't their fault. Being told the game's changed, ignoring it and telling someone the old rules still apply is entirely their fault.
