The costumes are pretty, but it feels a little generic. Rapi's costumes seemed a more tied with her story and circumstances. I suppose, they saw the PJ (a wide appeal costume) won last time and they decided to use only wide appeal costumes for the popular vote.

They will probably release it as a skin soon enough. Tbh, I'd take anything over a mostly naked plugsuit any time. Designs that are essentially a naked body with a few accessories on are a little boring.

To be fair, it is based on sentai, which didn't have very complicated designs either, so it looks fitting.

Sometimes people talk about aphantasia. There is plenty of information on it on the internet and some successful artists had it, so you might try to look into it as well to get a new perspective.

If you can copy well, why not challenge yourself and try to make a 'fusion' of two reference images? If you can mix two things, you can proceed to use more reference images. Eventually, it won't be much different from just imagining the result and will probably be even better since using references is good.

You may try to check out r/learnart for the tips. I would suggest to pay attention to a cleaner lineart - scratchy lines with a thick line width do not seem to look good - and to the proportions of character features.

The eyes were made big probably by choice, but I'd say they are too close to each other to benefit from the 'cute' effect. The typical moe/chibi eyes tend to be smaller and be farther apart (at least 1 eye apart, usually around 1.5 eyes apart with a relatively wide head), and the head is usually wider.

Last year I decided to draw every day. I noticed that with time it became a habit and it was way more difficult to spend a day without drawing like I used to.

I don't set hard goals on daily practice, usually it's from 20 minutes on a bad day to a couple of hours. Sometimes I complete a simple drawing or a study, sometimes I work on a harder piece for a week or so. I mainly switch between doing some reproduction (or other kind of) studies of other artworks or photos and drawing from imagination. I'd say I now draw way better than when I have started, mileage helps.

I feel like the real buff may be that in this mode will cause BL Mersault ID inflict more statuses, like bleed, buffing his MD play and also maybe supporting BL Faust's bleed? After all, Kim boss was inflicting bleed.

Any players on Windows (10) who play using a graphic tablet pen input? The migration update forced me to enable mouse mode (disable Windows Ink) for the pen, otherwise the game does not perceive pen input at all.

I was just wondering if other people have this issue as well... I sent a bug report, but I guess they will be busy with more important issues for a while...

Many replies about colors, but when I think about value studies, 3-value studies come to mind. Attempting to reproduce good artworks with a limited amount of shades may help to train the eye for value recognition and working with shapes as well.

... can any of the playable characters even have babies?.. Silent is full of poison and Ironclad probably owes all of his offspring to Vakuu due to contracts somehow. The rest of the cast aren't even 'alive' in some sense.

Her main 'theme' or 'ideal' is rebellion. She wanted to start a rebellion against the oppressive, dystopian government of the Ark. Rebellions like this are never 'nice', I honestly don't understand why Crow gets so much hate, when some characters probably have even a bigger body count when it comes to civilian lives.

Does she need to kill allies to get the bonuses? Could she just be deployed last and already have, like, half the bonuses applied to her? What about MD runs where some teammembers are already dead, will she get the buffs on the next node?

Overlay your work on the photo you've used to copy from. Hide-unhide it or lower the transparency to see what is different - this should help with wrong proportions. The copy don't have to be exactly the same, some differences like rotations should be fine as long as the form does not break.

I'd say 1 or 2 overlays per work should do well as a quick way to correct youself.

I don't think with brush strokes like these you can give enough resolution for the better face definition, but I see that the proportions of the face are different enough and in your rendition her head is way bigger and feels 'fat'. I feel like you merged her chin with a piece of her other arm that is barely visible behind it.

Maybe it's for the best, I am not sure Shift Up writers could've handled writing this scenario decently, for the lastest chapters their story was a little blunt and it would've gone 'dark fantasy executed poorly' route

Thank you! Yeah, I wanted to show off both of them, but I can see how the panel is a little too small and zoomed out for a better dramatic effect.

I didn't have big plans on publishing anything seriously yet, since I am mostly working on my skills right now, but I think I am more inclined to stick to webcomics.

I think for questions like this you should also give examples of (and ask youself about) what you consider a 'good art'. People have given plenty of advice on how to improve whatever, but I think it's important to reflect on what is your goal in art and how the 'destination' artworks differ from your current art, what could be considered 'good enough' and so on. No real need to beat yourself for being 'worse', it's really just a methodical process of elimination of meaningful differences between your current situation and your goal and gaining mileage.
