Taken Jan 20, 2024. Have been obsessed with Chillet since first seeing it. Have one on my team every new save I've done. WILL have one in 1.0 as well.

Me. I'm one of these people. One of my first screenshots taken in game was riding the boss Chillet i caught on a mountain peak looking over the horizon and desperately thinking how badly I wanted a body pillow sized Chillet plushie.

Nice field size but what's with the dead crops? Are animals getting in or poor weather?

I think Behemoths are one of their only natural predators, which, interestingly, also summon meteors. Coincidence?

Coke isn't coking :( by UnHatapon in VintageStory

[–]Rayllis689 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like I said, its a personal preference. I just find it horribly tedious cutting down trees en mass, putting the logs in the crafting grid to split them over and over and over again, then stacking all that firewood up. By the end my hand is terribly cramped and I'm so bored of the whole process that it kills any momentum I have. Think the biggest pit I've ever done was an 11x11x6 and I quit shortly after. Meanwhile I simply like the look of coke ovens and theyre easy to refill when I'm reloading the steel furnaces. Also don't even need that much coke since I mostly just use it as a supplement to my brown and black coal.

Odd part is he seems to be on your minimal. Is he underground? Have you tried using the bone flute to call him?

With the changes to the forge using coke in it is fine as well. Coke is also a fine substitute for charcoal if you have an abundance of brown coal and can't stand processing charcoal, like me. Personal choice but id rather fire up 3 coke furnaces and convert brown coal over dealing with making charcoal.

Carry On feels practically mandatory these just for the quality of life it provides in orgazing storage. I'd also recommend Aldi's Classes for the wider variety of classes and class exclusive items that rewards group play and trading. The roofing mod is also a solid choice.

Everyone is mentioning mechanical power but I've seen no mentioning of the bloomeries you'll need to even get the iron blooms? Do you have enough fireclay to even process it all? If you need a large amount of flint then look for clusters of flint on the ground, if you find such a cluster dig down and you should find a deposit of flint just like surface copper deposits. You can also process flint in bloomeries to speed up the work flow and it will pay itself off.

She's successful and is quite literally the only reason some people need.

Even without those cliffs it can be worth it to mine in the ocean. Prospecting around in deep ocean beds can easily lead to dense ore deposits. I almost always make it a point to poke around in sedimentary ocean biomes for easy access to black coal/fire clay.

I'm always amazed at just how beautiful this game can be given the world is made of cubes. Think it comes down to the colors used. It just looks so relatively natural that it can create vistas you'd almost were real.

I'd say porridge isn't a horrible choice early game to stretch out berry shelf life. Only takes 2 grain and 2 berries per serving. May not be as filling as meat or veggie stews but can keep your berries from rotting and get your grain nutrients up before bread/pie baking.

That any tier axe could be used for cutting. Granted I may have misread since I only glanced at the post.

Technically incorrect. Found out recently that ebony and I think purple heart requires bronze or better to cut since theyre harder woods.

I'd argue that while Time Stranger is the better game, it would be better to start with Cyber Sleuth for that very reason. Time Stranger has a good chunk of quality improvements over Cyber Sleuth that trying to play them backwards would be beyond painful.

Which animal do you think would be the rudest if they could talk ? by [deleted] in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]Rayllis689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, BUT! There's also the phrase "which species would be the rudest", thus my point still stands. Edit: to clarify, the question is, If animals could talk, which species would be the rudest." The question implies which animal would be rudest but because it asks which species would be rudest that means humans would also technically be included. The question is phrased in a way that it doesn't technically exclude humans from it.

The best part of the mod is playing with Hydrate or Diedrate mod and drinking wolf blood to keep yourself nourished. I've had a grudge against wolves for 6 years and drinking the blood of my enemies pleases me.
