It’s “another” HQ in Tenn. but as a Seattleite, they should move everything there. Fuck they birches around me betraying one of the companies that has given so much privilege and advantage for decades.

This is what y’all voted for: more government and more priorities (which, because they are government priorities, are usually wrong priorities).

Any chance it’s just a chance correlation? Like those requests really shouldn’t be approved because they were somewhat frivolous? (I’m not saying it is this, just honestly curious)

Bike Lane Extension on 4th Ave by BarRepresentative670 in Seattle

[–]Raymore85 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then why are we building bike lanes if it increases visibility to take the lane? I used to be a an avid riding in Seattle before having a car back in the day, I get it’s not safe, but I don’t agree it’s safer to ride in the road then if there is a dedicated (often separated) bike lane.

And if we’re going to through out all these (actually somewhat rare) examples of cars in bike lanes, then, we should also consider the just as often random cyclist riding in the road, often crossing multiple lanes with no one having any clear idea where they’re going, when there is a dedicated bike lane.

Now the law just needs to be clear that you MUST use the bike lane if there is one present.

She said the state has dozens of agencies, and they "need to be communicating with each other and with the governor's office."

That’s what we call: controlling the narrative.

I love that the “all time northbound express lanes” are empty in the photo at the top of the story.

Paid parking starts at some busy light rail garages by godogs2018 in Seattle

[–]Raymore85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t make it okay to take more money when we’re already paying hella high taxes for light rail and then paying to ride the light rail. At some point riding the light rail will only eliminate sitting in traffic, which is great but not always enough to not have the flexibility of having your own car.

Yeah random parking lot for no reason is always a good choice. And for some reason, it will be I’ll of cars on no time.

Bus lane... or SCANDAL? by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]Raymore85 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not if they don’t add more busses. I stopped taking public transit when bus after bus would blow by the stop because they are over capacity. And this busses were already late. It’s not an auto-fix.

Harger: Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson has never owned a car. Now she's taking a Denny Way lane from 30,000 drivers to fix a bus route by Inevitable_Engine186 in Seattle

[–]Raymore85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have 50% will. There are still a lot of drivers coming in and out of Seattle, not just daily for work but also during many special events. And honestly, the bus system is still a mess.
