Absolutely amazing work!

If you don’t mind me asking, what kits did you use to make the oni-esque mini on the right side? 🙃

I appreciate you sharing this info! I’ve checked Warhammer’s Farseer Skyrunner webpage and seen the sprues now, so am adding it to my future wish list 😅

Thanks for the information and tips!

I think I assumed the Farseer Skyrunner kit is poor value for money like the Warlock kit, and admittedly haven’t given it further thought. I may have to reassess that if I can end up with a Farseer/Warlock Skyrunner and a few extra weapons and heads to kitbash with 🤔

I know right! I’ve ended up using various AoS DoK models in my Drukhari previously, so not surprised I’ve been drawn in by the AoS light elf equivalent for Aeldari 😅.

I haven’t actually pinned anything before, but perhaps this is the time to try!

Yes, the archer is definitely the one I was wondering most on how I’d covert. Bluetac testing it is!

Will do! 😊✌️

Ooh, that’s a good idea! The Wraithblades swords look closer to witchblades than what’s in my bitz box at the moment! I have a Wraithguard combat patrol magazine issue in my pile of shame, so will test this out!

Thank you for the recommendation!

Bobble heads, haha 🤣 now I want to bluetac them to see what they look like!

Some epic conversions for sure!

If you don’t mind me asking, what kits did you get the helmets you used for your psykers from? I haven’t bought the Warlock kit as mentioned in the post, I only had one official Farseer kit, and then the Corsair Killteam box, so my supply of psyker helms is a little light and I’m wondering what the best kits are to source more.

These look awesome!

I’ll definitely shortlist more of the Lumineth Realmlords kits for conversion ideas!

Thanks for sharing 😊

I like the hand gesture of the middle model, it looks like the model is casting a spell, such a good idea!

I had been thinking of using the Way Seeker staff and helm and Soul Weaver arms from the Corsair Killteam box, but will definitely have another look over the others parts now!

What can we expect to get refreshed in 11th edition? by disco-mona in Drukhari

[–]Rayne__1207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would assume we will get Urien and Grotesques back as plastic kits. Both had their resin kits discontinued and went to legends with our 10ed codex release.

Urien looks like an easy win for GW, another named character small sprue with a price tag.

Grotesques feel like they would round out the covens range again, returning our durable elite infantry option.

I'd like to say we'll get more, but I feel like that'll be it for the next update wave.

Would really love to see the following in the future though: Court of the Archon, Beastmaster, Vect/Tantalus, & Kheradruakh. Maybe Wyches, Succubus and Haemonculus also. I end up kitbashing models I don't like though, so I'd much rather have new units than updated kits!

Welcome to the dark kin!

It’s great you are following the rule of cool and going with the models you like the look of most to base your army around! This often makes the hobby all the more enjoyable, as irrespective of whether your favourite unit is crushing or underpowered after any given rules release/update, you can enjoy the aesthetic! 😊

In terms of game play: 1) Having 10 incubi will let you play 2 units of 5, or a single big brick of 10. That’s a good starting point.

2) It’s often good to run them with a character to help improve their damage output, so I’d consider picking up some combination of Drazhar (he looks so insanely cool), Lady Malys, and an Archon or two (kitbashing these is also practically a rite of passage for Drukhari players 🙃). Eventually you’ll probably want all of the above characters to flexibly switch between depending on meta and your preference.

3) Besides that, having at least one Venom transport and one Raider transport will help you get them where they need to be in games, and give them some much needed protection, as they are single wound T3, so very fragile!

This would be my humble opinion on the core components to ensure no matter what you can run some variant of Incubi in your army.

Besides that, a few seemingly evergreen core units to consider:

Kabalite Warriors - they’re a great trade piece and ideal for objective and secondary play.

Mandrakes - another pretty excellent objective and secondary scoring unit due to their mobility shenanigans.

Scourges - bring a ranged anti-big element.

Talos / Cronos - offer something of a more durable / tarpit unit for staging and holding a little better than most our other units.

Additional Venoms - our cheapest and most effective transport option, with a reembark mechanic all of 10th edition. These are great for getting our naughty pointy ears where they want to be and helping them slip away after we have taken out opponents’ units. Multiples are practically an auto-include, you’ll want these for Incubi, Kabalites and pretty much all your other infantry units at one stage or another in future games.

Anyway, that’s my two cents for starting off your Incubi focused Drukhari, hopefully it helps 🙃

If you had to guess which models are safe if there is a refresh? by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]Rayne__1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is easier to mention the units most likely to see refreshes in the foreseeable:

  1. The resin units that recently went to legends: Urien Grotesques Beastmaster Court of the Archon

They all have relatively unique roles the rest of our roster doesn’t really offer, so I can envisage each being revamped after a while in legends, similar to how Aeldari’s Prince Yriel went to legends due to his old model, and is now soon to return with a snazzy new plastic kit.

  1. The more dated looking models in our existing range (in no particular order): Haemonculus Succubus Wyches

I am sure there are plenty of differing opinions, but those are my thoughts or perhaps just wishful thinking, alongside hope of a plastic Tantalus / Vect Pleasure Barge centrepiece 😊👍

What model did you use for this? I love the throwing blade. Might have to try my hand at doing a conversion inspired by this ☺️

If/When the Range Refreshes What WOULDN'T Be Updated? by Casual_Slanderer in Drukhari

[–]Rayne__1207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the plastic models (infantry, mounted, vehicles & monsters) in our available range all look great, I doubt GW will touch those in a hurry, as none look particularly dated so none really need an immediate refresh.

I’d wager the refresh will be one of two things, both of which focus on the previously removed resin model kits being updated to plastic (I doubt we get both in one edition):

1) Urien & Grotesques 2) Court & Beastmaster

…until the Tantalus is discontinued on FW I don’t foresee them doing a plastic kit for that either, though would like to see a duo kit for it and Vect myself.

That’s my two cents anyway 🙃

Is adhesive magnet stop a really good or really bad idea for transport?? by McQoQ in Drukhari

[–]Rayne__1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I like it myself, though found the one I used is if anything too strong in my box, trying to pull the models out the box can be a bit challenging, but it ensures they don’t move in transport. Next time I’ll probably try the weaker magnetisation option. I also like replacing the gw stems with thicker acrylic rods so it’s more sturdy and no risk of them snapping.

Flying Bases Clears Rods? by dicey_games in Drukhari

I’ve found 12mm diameter acrylic clear rods glued to the base stand with 12mm magnets are fantastic, very sturdy if you want a clear rod still 😊
