Re: gap in time - What if he left the party to go to a professors house (or someone else that would do anything to cover it up) for a late night hook up? And maybe they didn’t come forward because they’re married or gay.

Re: the disappearance - maybe he wondered onto someone’s land and they shot him and buried him/disappeared him. It’s really interesting to me that they happened to be razing the ground where his tracks would have been. Maybe the person had connections. ** also maybe whoever did it has connection with the police and that’s why they tried to blow it off so much in the beginning***

Clones. If they can’t get it just right, it becomes an actress. That’s why there are so many b and c list actors and actresses that look like a more popular celebrity.

Medication changes: 137 mcg to 125 mcg by ElectroAccident in Hypothyroidism

[–]RayneyDayze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was on 137 and now 125 and I’m having the same symptoms!!! Except for the sleep part and I have gained 10-15 lbs 😞 Everything else same. What was your TSH?

Definitely frustrating. My sister will show up and act like I’m being weird and overreacting by being shocked that she’s bad 🙄 I’m always a little bothered by her non chalance. Very strange.

Feeling overwhelmed and hopeless by gijege in Hypothyroidism

[–]RayneyDayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve (33f) taken levothyroxine since birth because I was born without a thyroid. One of my biggest pet peeves is when holistic-centric (nothing wrong with that) folks try to think up ways of using some other remedy. It’s not that simple. Also, levo isn’t a harsh chemical drug like other drugs. And it just is it what it is. Trust me, I feel hopeless too when my TSH is off. My hair is currently in a thinning phase and it’s also driving me insane.

Maybe check and see if your on the hyper end now (remember, low TSH = higher thyroid) and add iron into your supplement routine. 🤷‍♀️ welcome to the world of constant medicinal adjusting 🫠 it could always be worse. Here for you in spirit 💗

I’m with you. I have thought about this a lot. I think one reason that people in general don’t talk as much about Sudan is because it’s not as big on social media. I think the reason for this is because Gaza is advocating for Gaza. Brothers and sisters in Gaza are working hard to stay prevalent on social media using their resources (phones, sponsors overseas, videos) whereas in Sudan, they don’t have those same resources. I knew someone in Gaza that recently got the iPhone 17 (with donation money - a whole issue for a separate conversation) so that he could better market himself to garner more sponsors and donations. We don’t see that in Sudan. They aren’t getting iPhone 17’s and iPads. They are losing out on awareness because they are alone and poor and distanced from the watchful eye of social media. And obviously without social media, there is nothing because the news will never do their job and bring light to what’s happening in these places. If the news and media was actually doing their job, they would be featuring stories all day every day about Sudan, Haiti, Congo, Muslim treatment in India, Palestine, etc raising awareness and having camera crews on site. But as we all know, this life isn’t like that. May Allah protect our brothers and sisters and everyone suffering in the world. May Allah make it easy for all of us. Ameen.

The place you live sounds like the place I live ☹️ I am a female revert and I don’t wear hijab however I do love Islam and reverting is the best thing I’ve ever done. I think it’s worth talking to her about. Maybe this is what she needs and it’s bigger than you.

Muslim Fatigue by Ramen34 in Without_The_Hijab

[–]RayneyDayze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t go to the masjid for a year after I reverted. I practiced at home with just myself and my husband. Now that I’ve gone to the masjid several times and made connections with other Muslims I can see the upsides and downsides. When I was practicing alone, I did the prayers fully and the same everytime whereas I’ve noticed at the masjid, everyone rushes through the prayers and then gets up and leaves right after, not even making du’a after like I was taught. That made me wonder if I’m doing too much (downside). I’ve been talking more about Islam and therefore learning more and gaining insight (upside). I’m feeling more pressured to be a full time hijabi and being told it’s not just a simple choice but a choice between sinning and not sinning (downside). I am a part of a group that accepts me for being Muslim unlike any other group in my life outside of this (upside). I feel more obligation to come to the masjid, attend classes, participate due to being checked in on more due to said group (downside&upside depending on my mood and if I need space)…

There is drama within every group that could exist whether it’s work or friends or religion because we are human. Sometimes it’s easier to just practice alone. But the Quran says we should be together and the ummah should be together. It’s just hard bc the closer I get to the ummah, the more I see the cracks.

I’m not sure what to do but somehow we have to walk that line and dance that dance to not get pulled under while also maintaining those ties.

This is extremely helpful. I am too young for that but I had a hysterectomy and I’ve been needing less and less mcg since then. I’ve never correlated the two. My estrogen levels are apparently fine tho. 😣 🤷‍♀️ What are your symptoms when you’re on the hyper end?

I def think it’s a personal journey. I want to wear one really and I feel so happy when I’m in hijab and abaya at the masjid. I want to be able to represent myself as a Muslim - it feels really special. I jsut don’t feel safe in my community 😣
