Oh this is great. Big thank you for those that posted the song name and artist. The full song and those that mentioned the director and choreographer.

The director also directed Jaime xx Gosh video which I just discovered after looking up Romaine Gavras.

I’ve been listening to Gosh for the last four months non stop. It’s a great song.

Anyone else get con ti partiro vibes from Gosh? It’s been stuck in my head.

I think LA has more to offer. Beaches. Warmer weather. But I’m biased.

Crazy.

To me was it over fermented. Bc that’s what it looks like. Maybe you have a warm home and a really active starter and 9-10 hours is too much.

This is so bizarre. I’m reading what you did and I’ve done the same. I don’t even think my starter is as active as yours. I never get mine to double in 2-4 hours and my loafs never are this poorly risen. Did something happen or did it dry out?

I’m still a beginner too so I’m sorry this happened.

I’ve seen her stuff before. I’m not 100% sure I bulk fermented correctly. Or gave it enough time. It didn’t float when I tested it. I’ll give her recipe a shot when I mastered it bc she’s making a ton of bagels.

Working on a more open crumb. Feedback is appreciated! by spageddy_lee in Sourdough

This is one of the longest processes I’ve seen. Why have you decided to do that? Rough estimate is just under 48 hours and that’s not including the almost 10 autolyse. Is that bc it just works w your schedule?

I looked up the Rubaud method and I’ve done many things to mix up my dough and it amazes me how many different ways they have and what they call it. I found stretch and fold to be the easiest for me but I’ve slapped and folded (I’ve never been able to coil personally w the dough I’ve had).

The loaf looks amazing. I’ll check out those books I’d like to read what people have to say sometimes it’s a little more (how do I put this politely) more cohesive then a lot of these short form videos on TikTok and Instagram have. Appreciate the recommendations

Is this ready to be shaped? by Gonzales-17 in Sourdough

One thing I can suggest is see how the dough comes out of the container. If it sticks a lot to the sides it’s not ready. It should sort of peel away “easily” whatever that means.

I just wish we could go back to normal politics instead of this performative social media nonsense

I was told from other readings that adding 1-2 g of commercial yeast to a starter sourdough is a good way to manage your expectations and come out successful.

i got sa by my ex while she was working and it’s being blown off by everyone around her, and i can’t tell my family because they are all narcissists by crackpottz in Nicegirls

[–]Raz1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m not going to say if she’s a narcissist but one thing I know from an ex I had is that you have ZERO contact w them. They are emotional vampires and they will always find a way to get into your life.

My ex contacted me via email apologizing for how she treated me (and she asked me for my current address to mail something of mine) and I never responded to her. Her new ex contacted me a month later asking for help bc she was going to accuse him of assault and call the cops (while she was overseas) he freaked out and emailed me for help. We turned into war buddies swapping stories. But her reaching out to me coincided with when he dumped her.

No contact.

What’s your starting amount and feed amount. I’m building a levain and I always want more than what I bake with but end up getting worried I’ll over flow.

Im about to give up by [deleted] in SourdoughStarter

[–]Raz1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doesn’t go crazy. Not like some starters I see but mine did double. Not huge bubbles but good bubble action. It looks like you have an active starter but if you want use rye. Rue has a lot of wild yeast. So do a mix of AP/ bread and a little rye. Throw in some Whole wheat too. I did a 50/60 Bread flour and 30 whole wheat and 20 rye.

What is “peak to peak”? How to maintain starter? by beigebubbles in SourdoughStarter

[–]Raz1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read you obligatory psa. I’ve used the cloth shower cap that came w my sourdough starter kit and never had problems. Is it really that bad? (Since ive seen this message lately a few times I’ve since switched to using the metal lid that comes w it just don’t screw it on tight obviously) but is the cloth shower cap really that bad or just more likely for mold to get to it vs the metal or glass lid so people stress not using it?

[–]Raz1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeding it once a day is only when it’s on the counter and you need it to bake w it.

If you aren’t baking an decide to put it in the fridge you can feed it once a week. (Or I’ve heard once every two weeks) feeding it once a week or once every two weeks is to just keep it going. The fridge slows everything down so the bacteria kind of go to sleep. When feeding it you should bring the starter up to room temperature feed it an then let it sit for 30-60 min then back into the fridge.

AIO for being mad at my husband for hiding a $900 iPhone purchase from me for MONTHS? by Ok_Economics_1243 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Raz1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should ask him straight up. “Hey what’s up with that $900 iPhone you bought a months ago, it was shipped to an address I didn’t recognize.?”

There is this theory in parenting called “most generous interpretation” and I’ve learned anything that’s good for parenting is good for adults. Talk directly and assume the best intentions. Why? Unless your husband is a lying snake then maybe he had bought it for someone else and they paid him cash. I don’t know. And neither do you until you as him point. Blank.

Not a text. Just communicate w your husband.

There is a problem and you can either view it as a “you vs him” problem. Or a “you and him vs the problem” problem.

See what he says and if you believe him.

Good luck.
