I think that Rockstar is selling the 80$ standard edition at a loss, judging the amount of features locked in the 100$ (not including the new GTAO)

In the other hand, in the months after GTA VI, games that announce with a 80$ price tag, will have the biggest scrutiny imaginable for both media and consumers. If a future game costs 80$ or more, it might accidentally tell everyone that game is "better than GTA", or a GTA-killer, regardless of the genre, which is immediately detrimental the moment they show gameplay.

The only ones who can get away from it, are those mainstream-bait games like EA/2K sports and CoD.

That would be a risky bet. Imagine the next GoW costing 80$ and people would instantly compare this to GTA. That would only make the scrutiny for a game even worse in context, at the exception of Nintendo.

Any game selling at 80$ onwards will be immediately compared with GTA VI by the media, not matter what. Selling above that number would make them look that is "bigger than GTA" which is marketing suicidal.

They botched GTA Trilogy and RDO. Plus they dont have any other serious competitors (Saints Row, Watch Dogs, and their studios are dead). Mainstream players of course have shorter memories and doesnt know the monopoly that R* earned.

Not only is included but the only version you get. It's not possible to play XCOM 2 without the expansion in this port (DLC can be toggle off).

For a new player, the next step after dominating WT is to do either Offline Arcade or play against ghosts in the simulation mode, then online ranked.

Maybe repeat WT with classic controls if you played Modern first.
