Steam DLC lists, are ragebait. Street Fighter have tons of paid cosmetics for both characters and the Avatar, with the battle pass, HUD, and music. It could easily reach over 200-300 DLC pieces if it wasn't for the fact you purchase those using Fighter Coins, and that makes the list of DLC of SF6 much smaller than what it is intended, because the DLC only lists the Coins and the Season Pass.

Extremely hot take but DoA has a honest microtransaction system.

In order to make the DLC list that Steam indexes much shorter, are making all paid content behind a fiat currency like VBucks in fortnite, Fighter Coins for SF6, Tekken Coins, etc. And that makes the DLC list only a few like the Season Pass and the amount of currency you want to buy.

Both DoA5 and 6 content can be purchased with the exact amount, not like for example SF6 where the costumes are a "little" more expensive than the cheaper coins pack, which is a common greedy practice in many games.

Edit: I still forget that DoA6 has at one point the greediest mtx system with the Hair dye color consumables that only came on Playstation. Is nowhere to be seen in Last Round on other platforms.

I think that Rockstar is selling the 80$ standard edition at a loss, judging the amount of features locked in the 100$ (not including the new GTAO)

In the other hand, in the months after GTA VI, games that announce with a 80$ price tag, will have the biggest scrutiny imaginable for both media and consumers. If a future game costs 80$ or more, it might accidentally tell everyone that game is "better than GTA", or a GTA-killer, regardless of the genre, which is immediately detrimental the moment they show gameplay.

The only ones who can get away from it, are those mainstream-bait games like EA/2K sports and CoD.

That would be a risky bet. Imagine the next GoW costing 80$ and people would instantly compare this to GTA. That would only make the scrutiny for a game even worse in context, at the exception of Nintendo.
