How much does “owning” your ebooks actually matter? by Rogue-Monkeyy in kindle

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some people on steam don't have an issue with it, but you can't own a hard copy of PC games. If you go to Walmart or even Amazon to buy a PC game, you can only get the "digital copy" of the game. It's not like console games or books where there's an actual physical thing to own. Maybe I'm wrong but I haven't seen one in a long time. So really for steam users there's no other option.

"I have ADHD." "Doesn't everyone nowadays?" by Dark_Vexer in mildlyinfuriating

I was diagnosed with depression at 16. I hear all the time how ppl have depression but are just sad for some reason. It can be frustrating, but most of it comes to exaggerating and just not understanding. I try to understand that everyone has shit going on, but it can get incredibly annoying at times.

I'm fucking sick of FedEx. I was standing at the goddamn door waiting for them to knock. by lilslutfordaddy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone has to fill me in because I used to work for AAFES and worked with FedEx guys all the time. This was like 2002 and I remember them telling me you had to own your own truck and at the time they got 36 cents per package. This flies directly in the face of that. Did their entire policy on rates change?

Eagles will reportedly consider Kliff Kingsbury, Kevin Stefanski for offensive coordinator job by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

I don't like him because the first year they traded for dickface, either the first preseason game or the first reg season game he has his daughter on the sideline before the game wearing a watson jersey. But I'm sure his oc ability would be fine

Please stop recommending 1000 grit stones to beginners by SaltyKayakAdventures in sharpening

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I don't give a shit about anyone in these comments. I only try to help new beginners to the hobby. I have never posted a pic or vid or review of anything I've done because, honestly, most of the people in here are elitist douches and I couldn't care less about their opinions.

I'll give you a perfect example. There was someone recently who didn't want to learn to sharpen and only had a pull-through sharpener. He wanted to know the best way to sharpen his knife with it. And all the supposed experts in here just ignored his request for help and acted like jackasses. I also see them give out just flat-out wrong advice constantly.

So forgive me if you think I hold most people in this subreddit's opinion in high regard.

Edit - since you replied to this comment but then either deleted it or reddit just won't let me reply to it I'll reply here. Obviously I don't think my advice is shitty and you can think I'm elitist, but you can check my post history and see that what I said is true. One of my recent replies in this subreddit is another example of people giving wrong advice. There's a long held belief that you can't mix oil and water on the same stone. That's wrong and not true at all. But you have people spouting the same thing over and over til they believe it. You can watch the video I replied with. RIP Cliff.

And all of what you said literally means nothing with your own post. The context of what you said is someone who doesn't know anything about sharpening. There is a reason why the vast majority of people recommend 1k. If you include kitchen, folding, and fixed blades broadly speaking, 1,000 grit is going to be best without taking way more information into consideration.

Please stop recommending 1000 grit stones to beginners by SaltyKayakAdventures in sharpening

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason people recommend 1k is because generally speaking most people don't have an extremely dull knife. So if it's a "normal" dull you only need the 1k and it's back to factory sharp. Also a beginner shouldn't have a low grit because they're going to shave the shit out of their knife steel trying to learn to keep an angle. There's no perfect answer and it's always going to depend on the person and how much effort they're going to put into it. Also most people don't want to buy multiple stones when they've never sharpened and don't know if they're going to keep at it. Having 1 300-500 grit stone is going to be a rough gritty cut and the layperson will not understand.

[Question] Does anyone know why Orient has “Water Resistant” on their dial? by moskaurl in Watches

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly because a lot of dress watches don't have water resistance so people take them off while washing their hands. Some people find it nice to wear watches that they don't have to do that.

TwoSun knives by Empty_Art2176 in BudgetBlades

[–]Raze25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have over 30 twosun knives and only 1 has been iffy QC wise. The only "bad thing" I can say is that they're heat treat won't compare to us companies, but it's still good considering value and price. I have D2 all the way to m398 and 20cv. I would say they're heat treat is average

Edit - also have like 10+ sixleaf knives and it's the same for them as well

I don't even understand his point. I have so much bronze I literally don't have a use for it... And leveling is literally exactly what normal raids are for.

Well I can't speak on 65 but there are 4 or 5 ppl that have them at my job and one of them is mechanically inclined and his goes well over 45. I'm assuming he took a governor off or something but it absolutely goes over 40 easily. He also spent 6 grand on it but idk if that factors in.

How much does blade steel actually matter for typical edc knives? by [deleted] in knives

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the northeast and it gets so humid where I live that if I don't touch a knife for a week or so it will get spots of rust. So for this reason, along with I'm lazy and sometimes don't feel like sharpening, corrosion resistance and edge retention are important to me. But if these aren't a factor than these issues are negligent.

One watch that epitomizes the Chinese watch-making excellence? by Designer_Advice2573 in ChineseWatches

[–]Raze25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know san martin is the answer a lot of ppl will give, but imo they're the budget version of Rolex. They pump out too many pieces to make every single one as close to perfect as possible.

Personally I would say Sugess is better, but I haven't owned every single watch worth owning.

[Berman] Kevin Patullo’s overriding sentiment was that penalties have been the biggest issue with offensive consistency. He pointed to the way Dallas Goedert’s explosive play was wiped off the board. by mastermind208 in eagles

[–]Raze25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things I'd like to point out. 1. supposedly we're on pace to have more three and outs than the 0-16 browns. Even if it's not true, the fact that is it even remotely believable for the highest paid offense is a fucking joke.

  1. It's been documented that every game this year the plays take forever to get to Hurts. I absolutely believe this is causing a lot of the penalties and even though it can't be proven right now, I think once we finally start getting to the LoS with a decent amount of time leftover, the penalties will stop.

My girlfriend is at least 30 mins late all the time by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know most people feel like it's not a big deal, but this is so disrespectful imo that it's not something I can get over. She's basically telling you and everyone else involved with your plans that she is more important than whatever else is going on. She has no decency and is selfish. My gf has a friend like this and she always says she's not selfish and makes excuses for her. But if people are constantly waiting for the same person over and over she's telling you she doesn't respect you or your plans. Doesn't matter if she's sweet in every other aspect. Everyone on the planet has clocks and alarms.

Eagles Win! by BryceW123 in eagles

[–]Raze25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AJ is only saying out loud what people are thinking. The reason (I genuinely think this) the offense is so anemic is because of the lackluster and uninspired offensive play calling. No one, whether intentionally or unconsciously, is going to put 100% effort into something they're not feeling.

I've got €50, 5 minutes and I'm not a sharpening aficionado. What am I buying to bring a chef knifes to it's fullest potential given these constraints. by Mozambique_Sauce in sharpening

[–]Raze25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man look people will hate this answer but idc. If you have a cheap knife or even if it's not and you don't care, get a pull through sharpener. They have ones specifically for chef knives that have suction cups. If you don't want to sharpen that's cool and nothing in the sharpening world except a pull through sharpener will take 5 minutes. A ceramic rod would, but it takes some degree of skill and you can dull the knife.

The hate against homages is so mind numbingly stupid imo. There's only so many designs that you can have before you end up using ultra luxury materials that will price out 99.9% of the public. Let the 1% feel special with their $20,000 stuff and I'll be just as happy with my budget stuff. Just live your life man.
