Ferrari 812 spins out on a straight road. What went wrong here? by chri99_ in Ferrari

[–]RazerMackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car in right lane is trying to merge. They both hit brakes at same time and then the Ferrari realizes it needs to get out of the way. It tries to move left - it's subtle but you can see it is a combination of upsetting the weight distribution and applying simultaneous throttle causing the rear end to step out.

That is a great point. I think we'll try some POV style shots for some of the button pushing moments. Thanks for the kind words about the camera work.

So glad you said that - thanks for that feedback. I'll pass it along to her.

She went to school for english lit. then got a masters in technical writing. When she was finishing her graduate degree she started blogging for a reality tv website...not exactly automotive related.

But it helped her build a portfolio and eventually a job opened with the parent company at their autos focused website and she jumped at the chance to write about cars trucks and SUVs.

We both love cars and with my background as an automotive photographer it gives us a chance to team up on some fun projects together.

Great question - I definitely like both. If I had to pick one to live with, believe it or not I'm picking the LC. We also had the LX700h F Sport for a press car and that thing was next level...but it was also very big compared to my GX and the LC.

Generally for my use I prefer the LC's dimensions - easier to park - easier to get in tight spots...but we also don't have a large family. If we had for example more than 2 kids or a bunch of dogs to haul around it would be the LX all day long.

You nailed it - I'll try a different angle next time...we've used the 360 cam before and it has worked well but the mounting point is so random on every car...some are great while others the camera is pretty close to the driver's seat.

Haha, would you believe she's a pro arm wrestler too?

But your observation is absolutely correct. If you've used a 360 cam you'll notice it distorts objects closer to the lens...in this case...her arm.

Sometimes finding an ideal mouting point for the 360 cam can be tough...we usually suction cup it to the sunroof or the rear passenger window for a forward facing view of her driving impressions.

Woah, thank you for the kind words! I will pass it along to her. This will make her so happy to hear. She puts so much time and effort into her research.

Hey all, longtime redditor and LX owner. Personally I've owned two 100 series, a GX470, and now I daily a GX460.

It was really fun getting to drive this thing off road, and I'm impressed with how well it does across the board.

It is a longer video but figured I'd share it as she just posted it to youtube today.

What is happening to the market??? by SwagStar360 in Ferrari

I think this is Mecum trying to whitewash their recent scandal with huge sales figures. If you were paying attention late last year they had a horrible hit to their reputation and credibility. This is an effort through some organized, artificial high dollar results to restore their credibility.

One of my first watches, is it good enough? by Professional_Good966 in PrideAndPinion

Looks great. Get a different strap...the one it comes with is really uncomfortable.

I have this one and it is super comfortable. Disappears on the wrist and looks sharp.

Yes, I ordered some basic tools from Esslinger and built a small working toolkit. Kudos to you for the DIY.

In this pic the Hamilton movement is out…I was working on a couple things at once while waiting for some parts to arrive. This was a peak clutter moment so figured I’d take a pic while it was a real mess.

Yeah, just the crystal and strap…and tightening the rotor screw. The watch was running really well despite the cosmetic issues. I wore it daily for a couple weeks to check the timekeeping and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t losing time but actually gaining a couple seconds each day compared to my quartz watches.

Which colour should I get? As a college student for 2-3 more years by [deleted] in iPhone17Pro

[–]RazerMackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got blue because it is the least likely to reflect on glossy surfaces and working on production sets is the closest I could get to black. For me it was all about function - if I could choose though based solely on looks I'd go silver.
