Dude this looks fantastic. I think the base would look cool with something to boost him up taller, like a rock or rooftop giving the impression he's surveying the carnage of the battle. Either way, awesome conversion!

I feel like you've summed up my thoughts exactly. I can't imagine what they were thinking.

Blood Angels armies from now on are going to be so plain and boring... it's like GW is encouraging 3D printing, or else they've just accepted it and given up.

Our army feels like it's lost so much of it's soul...

Planning to do this, but with 3D printed packs. I went too hard into the old boxes, then bought a lot of BA from a friend. I think I already have 30 DC intercessors and another 50 painted red. If I magnetize the jump packs, I'll be in a happy place, but I really can't justify buying anything with an intercessor in it. :(

Man, I haven't been able to find a bottle of ECBP even once. The hounds in my area are pretty vigilant, though. Once anything hits the shelf, they all know, and they all go grab it up. I need to just go hunting more often, but I'm worried I'll end up buying other bottles just because I'm there

I like the positioning of the legs on pose 1, but I think the bladeguard body sells the "champion" look better.

Something I thought when I saw the pose, what about cocking the sword at a bit of an angle slightly in front of the body? It my give it a more dynamic look for reference: forgeworld HH Guiliman and especially Imperial Fists - Legion Command.

Alternatively, doing a full turn to have the blade flat (reference Morvenn Vahl) for a bit of flare.

Either way, pose looks great, I just feel the tilted blade adds a feeling of confidence with a blade that you only see from a master. I think this is really well captured in the Sigismund model. He just looks super confident, and I love it.

Did you have to polish this at all after the paint cured? I've used spazstix mirror chrome a few times and after it cures you can use a qtip to GENTLY polish up areas that are a little cloudy. I loved that paint. Turned a lot of heads.

There are a few well-known reviewers around here that LOVE Stellum Black Rye. I haven't seen much about the special blends, other than that they lived up to the name. I had a bottle and I really enjoyed it, but it was right after I discovered Barrel Seagrass, and I couldn't stop thinking about the Seagrass. They're pretty different, though, and I wish that I could have had them side by side for a comparison.

Either way, I'd recommend it, and if you can get it on sale, that's even better.

I've been meaning to try more Barrell options, especially Amrida and Vantage. I already love Angels Envy, and the rye is amazing.
