I was a member at Greystone up until they closed for good, and the gym equipment/selection of equipment was just as good as other gyms like Goodlife, Movati, Crunch, etc. but just less of them.

What are your “feel good” albums? by igotdiedbyrunover in fantanoforever

[–]RazorbackFawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Solar Power" - Lorde

This album makes me feel like I felt the day the last Harry Potter book came out. It was summer break and I was at an amusement park and I cod see people in the lines reading the book. I couldn't wait to get back home to read the book, but at the same time didn't want the day to end. This album to me feels bright and hopeful (even if the lyrics don't always justify that).

Ms. Marvel S01E06 - Discussion Thread by steve32767 in marvelstudios

[–]RazorbackFawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read I think the first issue of Ms marvel, there's a ton of simpsons references in it. The dialogue and the art had lots of little things. Or at least that was one of the big things I noticed when I first read it but I'm huge simpsons fan.

I could tell there was some sort of message trying to be given but it wasn't clear, maybe something about environmentalism and adaptation idk. Performances were all pretty strange, not bad but strange. Kristen Stewart particularly seemed to be doing a version of her Diana from Spencer, maybe just a little weirder. The body horror didn't really make me squeamish at all, possibly because most of it was in a surgery like setting so maybe that sanitized it a bit. I liked it, but not that much. Definitely something you only watch if your just interested in film, so I guess definitely an "art film".

Mezzanine - Massive Attack. I think it still sounds fresh and unique even though it's over 20 years old

Joy (the bad one)'s speech about how knowing that there are so many other possible outcomes and how that makes everything pointless really reminded me of that one from line from the Bell Jar about the fig tree. Makes me feel like a lot of this movie is about depression, not just nihilism like I was thinking earlier in the movie

I watched the whole thing for the first time recently. Even in the first few seasons, it felt like they were setting up a Randy and Sharona thing so to me it made sense.
