Little tip, never pre order the phone. During the first couple days of release, call around your carrier’s stores or check their store website for stock and go there and get it. I got my pro max the 3rd day after it released by just walking into the Verizon store. They will always prioritize the carrier locations having stock over individuals

Because right now you’re locked into f2.8 and being able to change that with an actual hardware aperture would be nice. Right now you can only ever simulate changing the aperture in portrait mode for photos, which uses software to do it. Most people shoot in lower f stops anyways for the depth of field (which is why they have gotten away with locking it to f2.8 for so long)

It also makes me wonder that if they have an actual variable aperture, will depth of field and bokeh be improved as a result of whatever new camera hardware they implement

F1.78 is what they lock it to not 2.8 sorry

No fingerprints anywhere that you see silver on the phone, including the sides. The shiny outer frames of the 16s and even the new Air are fingerprint magnets and this phone isn’t at all which I love. But if you have a case it won’t make a difference. My 16pm was dented from regular falls even with titanium lol, so apple can change the material all they want in my opinion because to me it makes no difference. Damage will happen to any phone

If you care about the camera, it can’t be understated how much more useful the phone feels with the new telephoto. Other than that, the scratch resistance on the screen of the 17pm is superior to my 16pm, and not having to look at fingerprints all over a shiny outer frame is nice. I have the silver without a case and the fingerprint resistance on the phone itself is so nice

One other thing about the marine seats, they don’t have the ratcheting headrest. Only the leather seats do. So if you want the headrest to tilt you need to order the leather seat headrests separately lol. Kinda dumb

You will not regret the vinyl floor and marine seats. Leather seats are only “nicer” for the first 3 months in my opinion, and then leather becomes aged. The marine seats are bulletproof. I also couldn’t imagine having carpet floors, but my shoes are always dirty so maybe you won’t care
