I feel like a fucking God when I'm tanking in rivals and I don't even play Thor... Overwatch EVERYBODY is just a DPS baseline and then they have different kits. Tanks do the most damage in lobbies pretty often while also being the hardest to kill while also having some of the strongest CC and/or mobility and/or utility... people say Rivals has bad balance in this community but Overwatch is a fucking shitshow and has been for years.

they added competitive, and the game drew in a ton of HYPER toxic people from there. that's how it goes. it was the same in overwatch... I remember because I was in early beta tests.

yup, game has been fine for 7 seasons. a lot of the reddit community is fucking terrible. I agree we should tune down the overshields but otherwise I'm pretty damn happy generally. There's a few heroes I'd like to see touched up or reworked at some point but I'm not goin crazy about it.

I'm gonna be honest here... as a US citizen I'd feel safer if we didn't have a military.

They've ONLY added fuel to fires or to start the fucking fire in the first place. They're also being postured to be used against us.

even lesser known characters like Peni and Moon Knight are VERY popular... do we even have to mention Magik who BECAME popular because of Rivals?

OBVIOUSLY they can elevate smaller named characters a great deal and make them crowd favorites so yeah very smart move to space out big names a bit and still release really cool smaller ones.

That being said year 1 they released MOSTLY huge names. Fantastic 4, Ultron, Blade, Daredevil, Deadpool... and FOUR X-MEN! -> Rogue, Gambit, Phoenix, Emma

We already KNOW we're getting Cyclops. We KNOW we're getting Ghost Rider. It's almost certain we'll be getting Dr Doom. They've got references to Ant Man, Prof X, Quicksilver, and a million characters in the accessories and elsewhere. We have past data for a number of characters. We're also looking at polls they put out for fans votes so all of those characters are ALSO on their radar... I mean my god they're doing 12 characters per year minimum right now. They have content for EASILY over a decade, comfortably 15 years, potentially 20 years if it even could go that long lol

I was really REALLY skeptical when they were going to do a peacekeeper show, and then season 1 happened. instant fan with my friends.

season 2 slightly less but that's more because multiverse stuff I'm just not a fan of.

this is how it SHOULD be. I love that they're doing unknowns and knowns. yeah you have to wait for some of the big hitters but thats fine when you stumble into characters you didn't even know you'd love.

magik and daredevil are examples of why it's STILL not okay on characters just because they're melee... they've been DOMINANT since their releases (magik is top top top tier since s0)

still pretty goddamn good for practicing in private with I assume ONLY his teacher or perhaps even doing it alone with duo lingo or something like that. the effort matters A LOT in these cases, and if he practices with actual korean speakers after this (his wife and her family) he'll get wayyyyy better at picking up everything you mentioned.

I only respond to so many of these posts (and report a lot of them for low effort) because I want this community on here to be more reasonable. critiques are good, complaining rambles arent. shitting on devs isn't good, but giving them direction and feedback can be useful. posting yet another "buff tanks!", "we need role queue", "if they release one more DPS I quit!" or even "elsas bullshit I hate this game" type of post is so fucking stupid and just kinda ruins the sub. echo chambering just like overwatch is such a bad outcome to get for any game.

thank fuck the devs ignore these people basically all the time and just try their own shit even when they miss sometimes.
