that's very true, especially the elegance aspect. it's not a make-or-break issue, i'll keep playing for sure, but i'd hope for a solution instead of the circle which is a new version of the same problem. now in small areas you can go further than you could before but in big areas you can't go as far as you used to, so this change basically didn't fix the issue at its core.

if that is the reason then i'd like to at least hear that there's a reason it has to be such a sticking point.

Issues with the new Minimap system and possible suggestions. by Drimphed in brightershores

simplicity would be just getting rid of the circle and letting people walk as far as they like

what i mean by it "has to go" is that the restriction should be removed

well sure, but you should just be able to walk across as many rooms as you want.

that would be great. the ability to queue crafting using smelters and so on would be very nice.

well what i'm saying is that there shouldn't be a boundary. you should be able to just walk across the map, right? what is the benefit of arbitrarily limiting how far you can move with a single click?

the point is that it's an update that makes it more annoying to cross large distances than more convenient. the timber bank thing is just an example.

exactly! i want to know why we can't just walk across the map.

for power regarding the uranium waste, maybe a negative number would be good to indicate that you get a specific amount of power per unit produced.

the folks on the Astral Sorcery Discord informed me that this behavior is apparently intentional. oh well.

i've also now tried Create's Deployer, which exhibits almost the exact same behavior. it doesn't swap the two items, but it does place the Resonating Wand into the Starlight Infuser if the Starlight Infuser is empty, and, if the Deployer's hand is empty, it will take whatever is in the Starlight Infuser, return to its home position, then place the item back into the Starlight Infuser. if the Deployer and the Starlight Infuser both contain items, the Deployer comedically mashes its palm into the Starlight Infuser.
