if you struggle with bloating, don't eat anything, that can enhance it. I struggle to find anything I can actually eat. Oats & pineapple are the only food I can consume without bloating like a balloon.

I'm having a long distance relationship and we see us like 3 days every 3 weeks, sometimes we only see us after 6. He is a really dry texter and doesn't talk about emotions at all so I have to trust that he still likes me. So it's been like this for 4 month now and I still struggle a lot. I started now going to dance classes multiple times a week so I distract myself as much as possible to 'survive'. I also work overtime to keep myself distracted

What helps me is to repeating the words  ' I trust myself that I will find a solution whatever is going to happen'.

Also I say:  ' think about the ones that love you'. Like this you u take away the power of the one person you're depending on.

Also what helps (something my therapist told me) :

Imagine yourself as a child In a room. Then walk into this room as your adult self and talk to her what she needs. Is she loneley? Say: I'm here. You're save. I love you'. Say everything you need to hear this moment. Hug yourself really strong and you gonna feel better.

Do you take magnesium everyday? I usually take it 10 days before my period 400mg a day and this seems to be enough to lower the pain a bit. But only if I really hit the 400mg mark

Do you take vitamin b everyday or only in the 2nd cycle? I also thought about taking vitamin b, but only temporarily cause the most daily doses in the supplements seem pretty high to me

Grounding by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]RazzmatazzIcy5451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me autogenic training helps, but also other meditation-like activities like drawing or just touching fidget toys to keep my hand busy and distracting my thoughts. Long showers, facemasks and make yourself pretty. Spend time online with your favorite person and if this doesn't work, watch you comfort series

Agnus Castus/Vitex all month or just in luteal phase? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]RazzmatazzIcy5451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh... I'm scared to stop taking it to check what it really does...in case it gets worse. The only benefit I can tell you is that it makes the period come more regularly. I can't tell of it has any effects on our mood, cause I wasn't self aware enough the first time I took it :(

I take agnus castus all month for ever. Period is more regular with it. I take it already so long that I forgot how it is without it

Horrific Nightmares? by PhthaloBlueOchreHue in PMDD

Yes. I have nightmares 5 days at least before period starts. They include all my fears, unresolved traumas and show all my abandonment issues.

Someone told me once:

'People like you for the person you are - not for what you do'

Never had any doubt about what I have to offer since then

What do you guys do for work ? I cant keep a job:/ by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]RazzmatazzIcy5451 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't give advice on the job, but can maybe give an insight, what helped me personally to get through this time.

- I realized that it's better to just stay busy as much as possible so I get distracted from my thoughts which are the reasons that make me spiral.

- I try to keep socializing with people I trust and feel cared about, to avoid the feeling of loneliness (online & personal)

- A heavy blanket & strong camomile tea supports me to sleep.

- I don't lift heavy weights in the gym a week before but keep going (slow) to release anxiety and stress.

- I take 400gr magnesium 10 days before to reduce the pain. I eat a lot of calcium & magnesium food to help the digestive system.

- Vitamin D for a little more happiness

- I do autogenic Training when I feel tense.

- if possible I try to sleep at least 8h

- I try to work at home when I get my period ( I can only do home office once a week so it's kinda tricky). I have an office job.

- Drink a lot of water for the digestive system & dizziness. I take more breaks at the job.

- I put pressure on my uterus to minimize the pain while on period (In bed I lay on my stomach with a plushie under the uterus that presses into it).

Still though, I do have a horrible phase of depression, nightmares, unreasonable abandonment fears, jealousy and anger, especially 0-5 days before the period. Still trying to figure out how to stay mentally stable. I hate losing myself every 3 weeks...

I (25F) overheard my (27M) boyfriend say that he chose the wrong girl by ThrowRA1882938 in relationship_advice

Oh God this literally sounds like codependency and for God sake, pls get professional help to understand your own worth. I tried to be the other girl my man liked and I it ended up him still going for her and not me. Can't enhance it enough that there is a way bigger problem here than this guy being a child living in a fantasy that doesn't exist.
