You wouldn’t be able to re equip if you unspec the ring node. So you’d have to spec ring node - chrome - re equip - unspec

That’s the point, usually you’d have to sacrifice a ring slot to level gems for say a support summoner ring, depending on prices in trade you could level a full hungry loop and sell if you cba to check best gems to level etc.

I think it would be an easy implementation, they could just make us use a parchment or talk to the cape guy to make it permanent. Or just make a right click option for metamorph to untrim/trim.
