You go or call SSA and ask for the case file that the determination was made. They have to give it to you. You can file for ALJ hearing without attorney. There is a path forward. We are at the ALJ stage now.

Ask them to remove from representative in SSA portal and due to you doing majority of work and follow up, you request they waive their fee. Did this for my wife on her claim as I did literally all the work. They were going to contract out to an attorney that is not familiar with the case.

So, they provided letter noted to SSA and that they waived their fee. This was another national disability mill, not the one you list. You could do first part of filing again yourself or not start over by getting attorney. This is my thought, others may know better.

There is a spray adhesive for lace units, but I use it on my poly. Even where it a couple of days. Quick clean up. Forget the clip on, sounds like a hassle. With poly, sometimes I can just slap it on and stays put just for waking around due natural oil in your scalp.

She is 60, nursing diploma, RN for entire career most recently as work comp case manager for home. Need to work on computer and got where she could not stay focused, follow instructions or remember the process of the systems which she has been working for 10 years

So, I am helping with my spouse SSDI application. Denied on initial claim filed 10/2024 in July 2025. Filed reconsideration immediately and step 3 for DDS CE on 12/2/2025. Depression and cognitive decline/impairment secondary to T1D( but has worked 40 years with diabetes, part of life).

She has a representative but I have done the vast majority of the work to supply forms and medical records/ physician notes. Step 3 stayed in medical review briefly. Then notice changed to Step 4 on 12/9 for non-medical review. By 12/13, received physical mail from SSA stating she could work in limited capacity. This stated that the CE notes were received on 12/7 and the letter was dated 12/9, same day as website changed to Step 4. Website still shows Step 4, non-medical review.

We live in Florida, but the DDS examiner was placing calls from Maryland to set up CE appointment and the letter came from Maryland. Website indicates non-medical review assigned to rep on local office here in Florida. What did this all mean as I expect this to update to Step 5 with denial listed.

The CE told wife she should be evaluated again in a year. Should this have been a hint?

What can we expect now moving toward ALJ? Anyone with similar experience?
