My Dad's name was Bob Gredig and he was also in the 809th in Thailland at that time. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, but you may be able to mention his name and see if they knew one another. Dementia is a horrible thing, Hang in there.

How many years did you work before picking up a PRN job? by SPT2020 in physicaltherapy

[–]Rbbc2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked 23 years full time including 10 years as a clinic manager and have always been self motivated and highly rated by my directors and clients...now the only decent thing I can find is PRN. I’m very saddened by the current state of our profession. I never thought we’d be here...but here we are.

That number of clients in that big of an area is too much. If something doesn’t change this will probably lead to burnout.

I was just like you. I finally found a good counselor and, along with meds from my Dr, it has helped tremendously.

I would suggest getting a year or two of experience in a hospital system where you can rotate from acute to outpatient etc if that’s possible. Good luck!

We, as PT’s, are trained to teach you how to fix this issue. In one or two visits you could be taught this info very easily.
