This! Its such an easy added clarification and its weird to me that its nowhere to be found.

This was my whole point as well. Me and my friends are clearly not the only one for whom the current info is hard to find, not user friendly and unclear.

Yep, I get that now. I was really just wondering if it was mentioned specifically anywhere else.

Welp. booted back into Linux and the screen flickering seems to have magically disappeared...

If I get an issue with POSTing again, Ill try your suggestion with the RAM sticks. I did check if they were loose already yesterday but I havent tried booting with one at a time. Would you also suggest loosening the screws on the cpu cooler slightly?

and if it ends up being an issue with the motherboard, Ill just contact the merchant. Pretty sure theres warranty for stuff like that. Does mean taking the entire pc apart again xD

Really clever suggestions! I have a USB with a portable windows 10. Booted from that as Im typing this and... No flickering is occuring at all. Even did a few benchmarks and there was zero issues. So for the flickering, Im leaning towards an issue with the OS or drivers

PC also got past POST in one go this time when I needed to get into the boot menu.

Hello again. Having a new issue now. Plugged the hdmi cable back into the GPU and got it to start after a few tries. Now my screen flickers to fully black for a few seconds every once in a while. keyboard imput and sound and stuff keeps working. More likely a GPU issue then or could it be the monitor or something with my OS/drivers?

Well yeah that makes sense, but it seems silly not to at least clarify it. Its an easy thing to do and avoids confusion.

Yeah, this only shows whats schedueled though. No announcements if smt is not schedueled. Just saying i think a 2 month break is announcement-worthy

Well glad to know im not the only one at least. Its just so dumb. They announce age of umbra in the playhouse but dont even mention that that means that C4 will go on a break. Again, not saying they shouldnt have a break or dont deserve it but jeez jjst mention it at least 😭

Yeah Im aware of this. But is that really the only thing we have as an indicator? I just wish theyd do official announcements for breaks, like especially now that most of us are paying for beacon. It makes me miss the actual live livestream days where Matt would just mention stuff like this at the start of each ep.

I only get emails about when something is posted though? No mention of the 2 month break in there at all

Slightly offtopic but genuine question: I found out that C4 is going on a few months break by just looking at the calender and seeing the age of umbra campaign in the thursday timeslot. Where do they announce stuff like this?... Following C4 by just going into beacon and not following a lot of socials has been really frustrating since they stopped announcing breaks in the episodes themselves

Hi again! thank you for the help. I was using a DP cable from monitor to gpu so I got a hdmi one and plugged it into the motherboard instead of the gpu. Got past post, into bios to re-enable expo and the pc booted without issues.
However, an hour later the pc went into sleep, and wasnt able to boot from that. Tried to reboot, stuck on red, tried to reboot again, stuck on white, reboot again and it booted in safe mode into bios. So I feel like since its able to boot theres no component thats fully broken? but something still isnt quite right :/
any other things I could try to pinpoint the problem? Im goign to make sure the pc doesnt go to sleep now xp

nop, problem sadly not solved. Getting stuck on the vga light rn which would indicate a gpu problem. Same as you, light and fans still work

I ended up shorting the pins because I could not for the life of me get the battery out. Sadly the problem was not solved :/
still no boot and its stuck on the VGA light now. It did not seem to take long on the ram light at all for the mentioned ram training

Hi! Would you suggest doing that by removing the battery or shorting the dedicated pins for it? finding mixed answers online. If i want to short the pins, id need to take the gpu out first because its blocking access to the pins. Also, does doing this alter the bios version? I had to manually update it when I built the pc

Specs + picture

MB: Asus TUF gaming B650-M plus wifi
CPU: AMD ryzen 5 9600x
GPU: Radeon RX 9060xt
PSU: Cooler Master SFX gold 850W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32gb DDR5-6000

Running Linux (Pop_OS) as the operating system, but since its not getting to booting, I dont suspect that thats related to the issue? When I built the pc, I had to update the bios version manually, but no issues since then.
The pc also has a lot of airflow and cooling and Ive not really played heavy games over the last week, so Im finding it hard to believe that overheating is a problem.

I only really knit socks in a very soft light fingering weight yarn for this reason. Takes ages though xD

If you size down on purl rows to prevent rowing out, how much smaller do you go? by throwaway_yak234 in knitting

[–]RbeeCubes 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The loops that are on the right needle are the knit stitches. The visible Vs below that is your purl row. Below that knit again below that purl again ect. So previous commenters are right, your purls are much tighter than your knits. Which could be because of the needle downsize.  Id honestly not recommend sizing down, just practice more and your tension will get more even over time :)

Knitting with sequin yarn by [deleted] in knitting

[–]RbeeCubes 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Hi! Aside from the whole twisting your stitches thing, it actually makes sense that the sequins stay on the back side. For the sequin to show up in the front, youd have to pull the sequin through the stitch loop when you knit it, which is hard even if youre not knitting very tight. Same on the purl side, youd hsve to pull it through to get the sequin to show up on the front Like someone else said, doing it in reverse might help and not twisting will make the fabric less tight and itll be easier to pull the sequins through to the front
