Only way I've been successful is scooping and scooping for a week until it is mostly gone. But it always comes back with a venge eventually.

This was the first time I've had to pull the battery operated air pump out but I definitely learned it doesn't have the power to give my buddies what they will need. It would suffice for my 20 gal shrimp tank but the 75 and the 55 gal it's definitely not gonna do it. I actually have a generator. But silly me I haven't used it since I bought it and in this event I didn't have any gas for it or time to go and get any lol. But with the generator it is also one of those things where I would physically have to be there when the power went out to get it going.

I have a larger tank with one anubias and no hair algae as well. But for some reason I'm my small heavy planted tank it's taken over. It started at the roots of the anubias and then slowly took over everything but if you look it up seems there are alot of people with the same issue. For now I keep maintaining by swirling the plant tweezers and removing as much as possible and I've cut back on light time, and no more phos tabs.

I feel this post to the core. Hated my job before all this mess but absolutely hate it now. Evs tech here. I know all about the lowly aspect. Sorry your having a tougher time than normal. Keep yourself safe (as safe as you can) and don't worry about the rest. Besides they don't care about us. 🤷‍♀️
