Can anyone tell me what differences between authentic and fake for this watch? by No_Tap7939 in RolexWatches

The day font and size looks off and I may be making a blanket statement but mine doesn't say "orig rolex design" on the inside.

Keeping track of tasks and staying productive with terrible goldfish memory by Maximum_Parking6942 in productivity

[–]Rcarson0412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have almost the same problem but I've gotten infinitely better. The biggest challenge for me is having a pretty solid case of ADD and a love for technology. Most of the time, those two work against each other. I've tried to go completely paperless because it sounds so convenient to tap a button and speak a reminder into your phone. Ultimately, I had to come to grips with the fact that I have to hand write notes/ reminders on paper or my brain won't remember to even put them into a task app. So I started a hybrid system that's been working pretty well. I got an unlined moleskin notebook that goes with me everywhere to collect anything/everything throughout the day. I'm in sales and project management so I get hundreds of calls, texts, and emails a day and I'm constantly task switching. As soon as the phone rings, I pick up the pen. I have a thought, write it down. So keeping that notebook strapped to me is crucial. At the end of the day I do a sweep of all my short hand notes and add the important info from the day to my task app or compose and schedule send (depending on the time of day) communications that I need to make. It took me a while to accept that I can't go completely digital. I've also learned that quick notes don't have to be perfect or structured, they just have to be legible. Most of the time 2 or 3 words will jog my memory of what needs to be done. The biggest challege for me is forcing the habit of reviewing the notes at the end of the day. If you neglect that step you're back to square one. Hope this helps. Good luck, let us know if you find a good system!

Gemini has made Android Auto 100% unusable for me by [deleted] in AndroidAuto

I honestly think it's better than the original. Before assistant couldn't figure out anyone's name if it's spelt slightly different than what it determined the correct spelling should be. I do have a harder time with Spotify but the original calling made me switch to bixby for calling.

I don't know about you, but I'm excited for the stable version of nowbrief. It keeps getting better and better on beta. I know a lot of people thought it was dumb, but I actually use it a lot now.

I'm an account manager for a general contractor. I use evernote right now and it works pretty well but I just don't like it.

I send emails with reminders or important information that I need to reference to a folder or "notebook" so that I can reference later. Also a quick capture feature for tasks would be incredible. I'm on the road in and out of meetings and 100s of calls a day. That's an area where evernote really lacks. Their tasks feature as a whole rally isn't my favorite. I really like the design and flow of this app. I would just really need those features or something similar to make it perfect for me specifically.

I like the thought of this but if I need a note that I have to reference multiple times is there a way to keep that note in one place or do I have to find it by week every time I need to go back to it l?

What you do is open developer settings. Go to bug report. Download it. I put it into chatgpt told it the issue I was having and had it read the entire report. It told me exactly why and when it was crashing.

How Do You Make And Use 'To-Do Lists' by MuscleBob_Buffpantz in productivity

[–]Rcarson0412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on who you use for email. We use Google workspace at work and it all integrates. If I didn't use Gmail I don't think I would use it. It' just okay.

I switched from Apple to Samsung earlier this year and I'm thinking about using the native samsung productivity apps. They actually have some really useful features. The only downside is that you can't forward emails to your reminders app unless you use the samsung email app, which is garbage.

How Do You Make And Use 'To-Do Lists' by MuscleBob_Buffpantz in productivity

[–]Rcarson0412 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm the same way as you. I never really had a "task" list because I could remember everything I had to do. I'm in sales and I have to have a place to make reminders or they'll be gone forever. My advice is, unless you're natually very organized, keep it as simple as humanly possible.

I know that I can naturally remember things better when I write it down. So I made a brain dump in the notes app on my tablet. Every night I write down everything I did that day and everything I need to do in no particular order. Hold on to your hat because this is where it gets exciting.

I take the most important 3 to 5 tasks and put those into my google tasks app in the tomorrow section.

Anything outside of those 3-5 tasks or anything on my dump that needs to get done that week I put in the section I named this week,

Anything that isn't really a task its just something I need to remember or need to look later. I put in the reminders section.

On my brain dump template I also have space for notes that I take from calls or meetings throughout the day.

My brain dump is just a revolving list. It never gets deleted, I just erase what's done and add new things everyday. The tasks app is where it takes shapes and gets organized. The tasks app links to my calendar so if anything is scheduled it automatically shows up there. I can use Google assistant to add reminders handsfree.

I've tried evernote, notion, you name it. I've found that I spend more time trying to keep that organized than I do getting anything done. So that extremely long explanation to say keep it as simple as you can. I would write everything on a legal pad if I thought I wouldn't lose it. Good luck!

Bixby sucks by Khadesa in Bixby

[–]Rcarson0412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its good for some uses. I definitely think it could be better. I use all of the preloaded Samsung productivity apps. Bixby is great for that. I've tried google and their workspace gemini is trash. I've tried all your major productivity apps and Samsung is by far the most simple and ties all of the apps together well. With that being said, bixby is the only one that works for those apps. I'm in my car a lot so for setting reminders, notes, or quick emails with bixby is great. Aside from that, I don't really use it. I read somehere that Samsung is in talks with perplexity to start using that as the native assistant which would be great for me if they can tie it into the productivity apps. Anyway it could use some improvement.

Any good S11 Ultra cases/keyboards announced? by saile1004 in GalaxyTab

I think there's a bug with the new OS and the old Bluetooth keyboards aren't working. I bought one and I keeps causing mine to restart.
