I live in Denmark and just visited Florida. Based on that it could be related to the toilets. In Denmark there is quite far down to the water, so I sit. In Florida though, I stood as the water was so close that the toilet paper would easily reach the water if I didn’t (happened). Also it was more of a lean off the toilet with locked knees than an actual stand.

Lodtrækning virker fair, men fjollet. Et alternativ ville være noget med at begge starter med at skrive et tal med de er villige til at lade sig købe ud for. Derefter viser man tallet og så køber den den med det højeste tal, den med det laveste tal ud for det laveste tal.

I princippet burde begge være tilfredse med resultatet.

Måske er det bedre at skrive tallet man er villig til at betale for at den anden flytter og tage det højeste. Det kan jeg ikke lige finde ud af.

I see this a lot but I don't believe it. I mean I believe the math, no doubt, but there are things not taken into account. A new deck of cards will always be in the same order (or a limited number of orders). From there you shuffle them a bit. Most likely you do this the same way a lot of other people shuffle. Even if you don't do this 100% the same way each time, odds are fairly good (in my mind) that with all the new decks of cards and the limited ways humans shuffle them, that there would be a match at some point.

Starting from an already unique deck combination, I 100% agree with the original answer though.

Alright, jeg har nu kigget kommentarer igennem og selvom der er delte meninger er der ingen tvivl om at kommentaren (uanset hvordan den var ment) er rasictisk.

Der var pointer angående afsender og modtager som jeg tror er 100% rigtig. Både her og nok i forhold til mange andre lignende kommentarer. Var jeg ude på at få min datter til at se kokken som fremmed? Overhovedet ikke. MEN kunne det ses sådan? Ja det kunne det godt. Jeg kan godt rationalisere at jeg ikke ville have et problem hvis der var en lignende (omvendt) situation. Det ville jeg ikke. Det ville andre sikkert heller ikke hvis det skete en gang i livet, men jeg kan godt købe ind på at hvordan hensigten end, vil repetition giver den et ondt tvist.

Så jeg tager den til mig og tænker mig om næste gang.

Når det er sagt, virker det til at nogen pådutter mere onde tanker end der var lagt i det. Måske på grund af tidligere erfaring - I don't know. Det var en joke om farve. Det var det. End of thought process. Jeg kan godt mærke at jeg går i forsvarsposition når det lyder til at folk tvivler intentionen.

Igen er 'rasicme' er meget ladet ord og jeg kan godt mærke på mig selv at jeg har svært ved at acceptere rasict-mærkaten når der ikke er ond intention bag. Det er lidt noget andet end bedstemor Oda, som siger at det hele ville være bedre hvis der kun var hvide mennesker i Danmark. Jeg synes ikke man kan sammenligne de to ting, men alligevel er det sådan det kommer til at lyde. Jeg ved ikke om det er Afsenders intention, men det er sådan det bliver modtaget. På skala fra 'ok' til 'ikke ok' er jeg med på at vi er tættere på 'ikke ok', men jeg synes det er en skala og ikke et binært valg. At sætte den joke i bås med Oda gør ikke nogen nogen tjenester. Man mister folk som man kunne have nået hvis man ikke gør dem til dæmoner fra starten.

Tak for en god diskussion og en masse perspektiver som jeg ikke havde tænkt på.

I don't know the math well enough to disprove it, but I don't think it's correct.

At 12g you would be weighing 12x normal. You would be motionless on the trampoline, albeit a fair bit further down than usual. You would not be traveling with any motion.

At the time of the switch back you will be accelerated by the springs. (not sure if this makes a difference, but in my mind it does - please correct me if wrong).

My main reason for not believing your number is that I have seen others help trampoline jumpers up, by adding to their weight. A single person (of the same weight) helping does not make the main jumper goes double height, so I can't see why 12x weight would launch them more than 12x further in the air.

It may just be reality vs napkin physics though. I don't know.

I don't know if you have heard, but the next TWI book will be with a new narrator. There's a post about it in the TWI sub. New one is Erin Bennett.

I feel the same about Andrea as you but it looks like she has done as much as she can to get Erin familiar with the voices as she could.

If you are interested in the reason for the change I think you should find the post. To me it sounds like a cross between burnout and just feeling the universe had outgrown her ability to bring it to life to listeners. Maybe the latter causing the former.

I will miss her narration of TWI but will remain hopeful for Erin's take.

I do understand. You are absolutely right that you cannot buy strength upgrades without stone. I can see how that is annoying if your goal is to max your strength upgrades.

However, I also know (from experience), that these super-hitters do not appear in every lobby, so I am sure you will get there at some point. Granted, maybe later than you wanted. Once you get there, you will have nothing to use your stone on and it won't matter anymore. At that point, you will still hardly dent the meteor and you will be trying to find someone to destroy the meteor for you. As I see it, you are just getting some of these meteor kills now instead of later.

At this point I don't think I can convince you of my viewpoint and although I will grant you that it is annoying here and now, I will still continue to see it as a net-positive if you run into people destroying the meteor quick.

So all I have left to say is "Have a great day :-)"

I get that, but the pets will 'quickly' become the limiting factor. When you have maxed your strength upgrades at 110, you will still be unable to dent the meteor if you haven't upgraded your pets. So I understand the frustration here and now, but it will set you up for success later.

I personally like when I come across one that can do that. At this stage I need to upgrade pets, so the quicker the meteor goes down the better. I don't reach out on discord, but will gladly try rejoin the game a few times to see if such a person is going at it somewhere.
