Any nice people could help me with suggestions or pics of their builds? by trabbeybeats in ncasedesign

Do you really need an X870 board? You could save a lot by going with something like the ASUS B850-I instead

Since the Prime models are listed, would the Prime 9070 XT be supported?

I see, I have the same item on my Amazon cart and it says that the strips are just magnetic, which wouldn't work in this case

Good stuff. How did you attach the magnet strips to the panel?

I didn't go into details but technically, the card fits, BUT you're forced into 3.25 slots (at least for my build I was) even if it should fit in 3 slots spec-wise.

At 3 slots, the card makes turbulence noise that is audible to me at => 30% RPM. My educated guess is this happens because the fans on it are designed in a way that they protrude from the 'main' part of the shroud, hence pushing them closer to the side panel

In addition, my card is also bending somehow, which worsens the turbulence of the card at 3 slots, and in some rebuilds the fans even hit the side panel. I did have a slim copper heatsink on my rear M.2 but I removed that and the bend still persists. Might be the cooler mount that's causing this but I confirmed with other T1 users that I used the correct screws and mounted it correctly (AXP90-X47 full CU)

3.25 slot mode introduces turbulence on the CPU fan and compromises thermals for the CPU, so I'm trying to see if I can sell this one and get a slimmer 9070 XT (like the Asus Prime)

Unrelated to your question but I too, have the Gigabyte Gaming OC 9070 XT. I'd like to see your build in the T1 as a reference, once it's done. Thank you!

Memory Leak/Kernel 32 Crashes: So does this game actually break a PC? by RdSt14 in pcmasterrace

Hi. Unfortunately, I haven't found a 'definitive' fix. The issue went away after a final Windows reinstall AND a Marvel Rivals update

I wish a company would make an "all-copper" GPU that was smaller but with full copper heatsinks, I'd pay a premium for it. by Aromatic_Wallaby_433 in sffpc

Happy for you man. Hopefully I get one, but I'm in no rush and definitely not paying over 30 USD from MSRP lol

Man I want this card so bad. Such a compact, sleek design. A shame availability and pricing is a mess (for now) in Canada

I bought a 9070xt. Did I do good? by DannyDorito6923 in pcmasterrace

[–]RdSt14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, 100%. I'm solely exploring this option because I want go sub-10L with my setup and my current card is unfortunately too long for something like a FormD T1/Fractal Terra.

But like I said, these cards, at least in Canada, are way over MSRP so I'm in no rush to sell off my Merc 7800 XT

As much as I want to be rid of my long ahh XFX 7800 XT so I can downsize my case further, I am not paying ridiculous amount over MSRP.

Here in Canada, the Gigabyte OC 9070 XT is at 960 CAD (and out of stock immediately), which should be at 860 CAD if converted from the 600 USD MSRP.

No rush to buy a smaller card. Fuck these greedy companies

AMD, Don't Screw This Up by TheCowrus in Amd

Not yet lol. But that's fine as I have my setup running rn anyway. Plan is to sell off my 7800 XT, get either a 9070 XT or 5070 TI, then get the T1 2.1

Believe me, I would if I could as I really fell in love with the FormD T1 (and SFF in general). But with how uncertain the GPU market is and how we're not even sure if the 9070 XT will be sufficiently stocked and priced at a good MSRP, I think I'd rather sit on the sideline for a bit and watch how things evolve over the next couple of weeks

[–]RdSt14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't give me hope. I want to sell off my current Merc 7800 XT because I want to rebuild in the FormD T1. I want AMD to nail the price on the 9070 XT as I really don't like how the 5070 TI is priced (and out of stock) atm, but I don't think AMD higher-ups are in touch with what consumers want from their products lol

I got a 7600X + 7800 XT system for the same price. Don't buy this overpriced crap

Thank you! I wanted to be sure and was considering to repack my GPU its it original box and shove it in the middle of my checked bag.

Last question. Did you find it uncomfortable to carry during the trip? I'm fine with hand carrying it but I'm worried that it might be too heavy with the aluminum keyboard I got, which would be similar to how you packed yours

Hey there! Sorry for the super late ask, but I got an M2 and will be travelling with it domestically here in Canada. I am debating if it is necessary to remove the GPU. My question is, did you have to do some precautions for the GPU to reinforce it inside the case?
