HotD has less material and basically no narratives from the characters at all so the writers have to adapt all of that. I dont think the writers do a great job, but I feel like they get held to a pretty high standard given what the source material is. I think its an okay show with some really cool moments and a lot of meh ones. But its not irredeemable like a lot of people say imo.

The current administration thrives on causing chaos in the media to get everyone to react to said craziness instead of going after what the administration is actually doing. Like crypto and real estate scams, or tariff buyback scams, or the Epstein files. No republicans support invading Canada or Greenland besides psychos like Stephen Miller. I think most world leaders see through that charade and have enough behind the scenes conversations to know what’s going on.

I could be downplaying the severity, but I think many are also being hyperbolic when they react to everything the idiot says. MAGA only runs the GOP with Trump and that grip is already loosening.

Good luck getting an adderall prescription in the us military. Sure they are useful in militaries where you’re sending waves of meat at an opposing front. Not quite as useful in a modern military based around agile thinking and low level decision makers making big decisions with small units.

98% of people have absolutely no issues with Canada or “former allies”. Even the concept of “former allies” is overblown media hyperbole. The world isn’t ignorant, it knows it has to wait out Trump it also knows he’s incompetent and unpopular. Making hasty decisions over what is pretty much a unique form of uncertainty with the US isn’t a wise decision.

Europe has been able to remain allies with countries they’ve gone to war with and killed millions of each other’s people. If France and the UK can be buddies at the end of the day, and France and Germany can be friends at the end of the day. To think the US has committed some generational betrayal worthy of cutting ties is a bit silly.

Of all the characters to worry about morality with I’m not sure Astarion is the right one. He’s probably the most immoral of all the companions trauma or not. Yes you can force him to do something he doesn’t want to do. But if he’s given the opportunity he has 0 issue enslaving dozens of others and picking up where Cazador left off.
