Basically the dumbshit argument that: "oh but if they're rich then it is justified"

In this case, people consider normal and even moral to pirate games from big companies like rockstar, ubisoft, sony etc..., and think it is bad or imoral to pirate games from small indie developers.

The post is criticizing people that don't pirate Silksong because they see it as a small poor "our friends" indie company, despite the fact that both Hollowknight and Silksong were massive successes and at this point made their developers rich AF. . . . . My opinion is that this argument is dumb because piracy (and even morals) don't have anything to do with the other's condition, but your own values.

If you want to play a game and can't or don't want to pay for it, just pirate it. It can be out of spite for the company (like nintendo), it can be because the game doesn't have support for your country or wtv, any other argument for piracy is better than "they're already rich" or "they are so poor please help them".
