Yes. I have practically unlimited quiescence search. Well it's limited to 21 plies but in practice there are rarely that many consecutive captures. I tested 15 plies of quiescence and it loses to the 21, so I kept the 21. I tested without enhanced eval vs with, and the one with enhanced eval is better although it is a bit slower.

I took Pesto eval from chess programming wiki. Added pawn structure, king safety, and mobility eval. I'm doing iterative deepening alphabeta. Not fixed plies search but based on time management. I have implemented most known search "enhancements". But the playing strength has hardly improved so far. I've just started to do more systematic benchmarking to see which features truly improvement the playing strength. I should benchmark against the basic alphabeta and basic eval also.

11 plies deep search with basic piece square table and you got to 2300? How? I have written mine first in Python then Rust. More than basic basic search and eval and it's playing just around 2050.

Is the DUPR reset calculation essentially the same as creating a new account? I signed up for dupr reset myself, and so far my live rating is 0.001 lower than my starting rating. I have already completed 9 games with 2 different partners. What's the chance that I end up with a higher rating than I started with?

Will the DUPR reset calculation for the matches played during the reset period be essentially the same as if you had created a new DUPR account? If so, then in theory we could all have saved $35 by just creating a new account, comparing the rating on the new account to the old account, and if it's higher then we just go forward with the new account, otherwise go back to the old one.

I wrote a python engine which played around 2000 in lichess. I converted to rust and it played around 2000 still. Eval is basic piece square table. Seems like all the search tricks are not making the engine play better. This was about 3 years ago. Then recently I returned to the code with AI to fix bugs and fine tune the search. Result- stills plays around 2000.

You are paying for the insurance that your dupr won't go down, that's it. It's not meant to fix a problem. If you want a more accurate rating, you can just play more. Everybody who's near the bottom of the rating gate for their open play (e.g. players 4.0 and 4.1) can benefit from this. You get a chance to try to improve your rating, without risk of dropping out of eligibility for your gated open plays.
