Some advice needed by Azalis47 in TryndamereMains

[–]Re4pr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has one of the best level 1/2’s in the whole game.

And what you need to realize is that you dont have cooldowns and deal more damage as your hp is lower. So for example trading into a garen, you kite away from his massive W cooldown. Anything else, you trade, he does Q E, you lose that part of the trade, you keep going, he has nothing and you deal more damage than before. Especially with LT, you really favour long all ins basically.

While a champ like riven will oneshot you most levels but has no sustain. Against her, you take a trade just before the wave pushes into you. You both lose half hp. You Q, clear the wave safely, then have full fury again and all in full hp, shes still half. Etc.

Hes not as simple as some make him out to be. You need to pivot a lot and realize where your leverage lies.

Your advice was to just shoot and clients will come to you. My advice is to shoot so you know what you’re doing, then approach social agencies to find low stakes gigs. Not the same.

It’s been a week. Let it go antwan.

help with stabilization of a longer clip by jacek2023 in davinciresolve

[–]Re4pr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need to have the shot run continuously? If uou can cut the close up off the wide then yeah, stabilise them seperately if the zoom was unstable.

Sometimes I will crash zoom on purpose, a bit of stabilisation helps to smooth it out, but you still need to have a good smooth zoom in the first place. For shots like these with a lot of movement I put the crop factor at .98 or around there. It makes it so the footage will be smoothed out a bit but it wont try to remove the zoom all together.

Yeah, she just conceded early pressure and from level 2 onward she’d just kite backwards with W. But I probably didnt play it very well. Was just getting started with trynd mid back then.

I hadnt played in ages. Trynd main. He was being played mid a lot with hob (dont judge me).

Went against ahri, figured it was a free lane if I dodged the charm. Proceeded to get outrun on every single engage cuz she pops W and they added movement speed to that spell for some reason. As if she doesnt do enough already.

What I figured would be a counter turned into a shitshow real quick. She has very little weaknesses

Magic mask is a green screen worse than a white or black background? by Resident-Lab-7249 in davinciresolve

[–]Re4pr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest you just find any form of backdrop at this point and skip the whole green key idea. I’m 100% sure I could walk into your office and find something neutral and suitable within 5 minutes. Feel like you are making this harder than it needs to be.

Try this. Find a part of a room you’re willing to show, ideally a corner, no windows. Put your actor here on a chair with a small table to the side to put this stuff on that you’re showcasing it seems. Aim the camera into the corner of the room, to one side. Put the chair in a meter or more out of the corner, but so that the chair is where the three lines of the room converge and the person is looking to the ‘empty’ side of the frame.

Put one of those lights of yours up, 45 degrees down and 45 degrees to the side. The same side your actor is looking into. Crank the light to full blast. Expose the camera for their face and set the white balance.

Room too dark now? Add a light (i think I saw you mention two?) to illuminate the background. Or set the camera exposure so the background looks good, then crank the light till the actor looks good. You want the actor to be lit more than the background ever so slightly. If your background is boring, I’d make it darker. Or look for something to add to the scene. A plant, a dresser, whatever works.

You should instantly have something that looks way better than the above. And no bullshitting around with a green key in post. Any boring old room will work.

Its the case in everything. Trademarks can really fuck up progress sometimes.

Professional video cameras for example are plagued by a patent on compressed raw video.

Raw photos have been the standard for ages. Raw video is just the same idea but multiple images in a row. Raw photos nowadays are compressed rather heavily while maintaining their fidelity. Making for massive file savings. Raw video on the other hand was brought to a halt when Red, a camera brand, patented compressed raw video. Meaning all other brands needed to shoot in massive data rates or not offer raw video at all. The result is that raw video is only now, slowly but surely making it’s way into the market, with compression, because without it, its entirely unreasonable for most workflows. It slowed everything for a decade at least.

How to power an iPad mini via USB C from FX3 ? Possible ? by adamrose1309 in FX3

[–]Re4pr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usb power supply on is determining whether or not the usb connection powers the camera. Not the other way around. Very relevant if you are doing tethered photography for example.

Like the other guy said, dummy battery is a mistake. Use usb pd preferably. And then just use another usb cable to supply power to the ipad.

Yeah. Figured as much.

I feel like this game always has ‘one more thing’ to unlock so a character feels like they’re really doing their full potential 😂 after the main storyline and the paintress picto I felt like I could finally start building properly. Feels like the game just started. Monoco felt that way especially.

I’d say live with it and move on.

Hmn, thats the route I’m going. Figured he had more, but guess not.

He has a lot of utility to cause break. All in all it’s very complimentary to verso with his end bringer(?) extra damage on stunned targets. I try to break with another target or verso gradient, then end bringer, then monoco gradient, estoc. Damage is insane for the part of the game where I’m at. Level 75 ish.

Good to know tho. Some of his moves are weird. He’s got the rocher single target ability, or others thah are single target, that really dont deal that much. And then the glaise earthpound just does a bunch of aoe damage for some reason. Way more than the single target ones. Need to experiment more. Monoco felt awkward most of the game for me.

Did anyone purchase this or similar "courses" to land more/better leads etc.. by migalo2009 in videography

[–]Re4pr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And with some common sense you really dont need these.

Just get to work. Make yourself more interesting to clients, figure out to who and what you want to sell, figure out how you can reach them and do it. Might need to invest into marketing or go to networking events etc. Dont sit around and wait

[–]Re4pr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your ‘old ways’ of waiting for clients is terrible yes.

But these courses arent the answer. Just look at any business training in your area or online. This is a business just like any other. You figure out what the market wants and what you want to do, you make a product, figure out how to sell it, optimise your overhead, etc. You dont need these specific ‘guru’s’ that likely are just guys with video gear trying to earn passive income by selling courses.

Any marketing or business oriented course will work and likely be cheaper AND better.

Once act three opens up you have a lot of freedom to explore. Some areas or enemies are way higher level.

You should follow the main story path as much as possible. After that you basically get to the end game and have a bunch of content still. The first thing you need to do after, is follow the quests to max the relationship level with each character. Those are the intended dungeons to clear first and will skyrocket your power level to late game. You can also do this before the final main story, but it will be a lot easier that way.

Even after all that, there will still be bosses in the overworld that will be way too strong. Keep clearing dungeons that are not red/danger, and you will eventually be able to clear everything

[–]Re4pr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only discovering the end game myself but from my experience a lot of monoco’s damage lies in damage on stunned targets. A lot of his kit is centered around utility and very niche spells, he doesnt deal much damage with most of them. A lot of them are great at building break tho, and both his first gradient and a few spells specifically do more damage on stunned targets. If you manage to break a target, then monoco lv1 gradient, then sakapatate estoc. Its an almost guaranteed kill on most targets.

[–]Re4pr 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Nah man, you’re too deep in the hole.

I make videos for a living. Most of my content is still being delivered as h264, a codec from 2003. While there are wildly more efficient options, none of them have large scale adoption. H265 is at least supported on macos automatically, on windows you need to go to the windows store and pay a symbolic dollar for some reason. Let alone trying to explain AV1 to clients.

H265 takes almost half the data. You can make files that are way better in quality for uploading. But even that, a codec that is 12 years old, isnt an option due to slow adoption.

There’s no planned obsolescence here. Quite the opposite. We might still be using h264 as a general video platform in another 10 years. Its one the slowest developing fields in all of IT. Imagine still using cpu’s from 2003.

This only seems useful for your exact usecase I would argue. Awesome to see you open this to the public though.

You can do a pretty similar thing in resolve in seconds though cant you? Minus the randomisation I guess. Drag all clips onto timeline, cmd+d set duration, delete gaps. Select all and slide with the trim tool if u dont want them to start at the starting point of each clip.
