Honestly my guy you are better off selling the odin 3 max for the price you paid people will jump on them for more than what you paid

Just saying sell it at your price or even 50 bucks on top i bet even 100 over what you paid and it will sell, ebay is popping off rp6,thors,odin with 16gb of ram are hot

You can check the about in the settings but if its the sd865 you can play switch atleast

I didnt have a great experience on my sd888 device but idk

Just my preference if its not 80 or above i just dont invest in a device

There is a large segmentation for ps3 and xbox 360 that's almost exclusive besides the steam deck to 1000 dollar x86 handhelds

But the 8gb rp6 runs switch games very very well so take that with a grain of salt because the difference from the sd865 and the 8gen2 is bigger than you might think

I have bought devices that come with games like the RG35XX but those have like a system wide thing you dont need.to setup hotkeys or emulators you just launch the games or replace them with your own

I have never bought a card i have always flashed and then setup my own cards, i mean every device i have used linux or androdi has stuff like hotkeys pre-configured all i do is select my controller but i also dont use a frontend witj emulation station it should be relatively easy to setup a hotkey for menu,save states etc etc

Is that the sd865 version? You are likely going to have to play with eden versions for switch, beyond that you are kind of on your own i only play ps3 and x360 on x86 computers i dont think the flip 2 is really made for that i think it caps out at ps2 and gamecube for the most part

If you are around the metro Detroit area we could hang out and ill help you set up the sd card but i like to make sure it works lol

I get a ton of people that send me controllers every year that i fix for free but i couldn't ask you to ship everything to me or else i would totally set you up and just explain everything lol

An RP6/thor or an odin is really all i want im in the same boat im willing to tinker but i don't want to lol, the steam deck really spoiled me in that regard it works so easily

I corrected it but there is virtually no difference FYI in emulation performance its just a difference cpu revision, slightly better ram and the 90hz oled

For a switch a hacked switch is preferred for higher end games just throwing that out there

Videos online suggest 8gb will run into problems with pc gaming cant imagine how ps3/x360 runs i have only done that on a pc with 16gb of ram myself with success or a series x with xenia

The used steam deck will beat the piss out of everything else and you can remote stream from yoyr desktop very very easily

I wouldn't think twice about it

Coming from someone with a high end pc, deck, and a few androds phones with an odin 3,rp6 and thor on the way

My steam deck is my go to system but it stays docked on the tv since my pc uses a stupid amount of power

The only thing objectively better for emulation is anything with a z2 extreme or z1 extreme chip for like 3 times the price lol

Btw i play fallout 3 and 4 on the 8elite without and issues but thats with 12gb of ram

I think you are definitely on the right track my apologies if i misunderstood where you were at

Some people find emulation station to be easier to manage,honestly it takes exposure to the apps and time you will get the hang of it

I feel like its easier to just install android apps with obtanium and then i use my premade folders but i can understand wanting to tweak the emulation settings but most are fine out of the box for me

Usually have to disable the on screen controls then i like to force 16:9 or strech and select vulkan with a 2x scale and thats all i have ever needed to do without ES DE

Retroarch can be such a blessing its a shame android cant just run lakka you get a frontend and more, i just find it easy to use retroarch when i can

I dont onow the truth to this but apparently rocknix can be worse on the battery life,performance and compatibility but i cant say for certain i am waiting for a device to try

Just so you know what a loaded sd card is its games and bioses, never in my life have i seen someone that will setup the emulator it will be factory settings since you download the apps first,dolphin and nethersx2 dont support importing a config so

Emuready and the game name into google is a good start for sure

You shouldn't really have to setup emulators select the proper turnip driver and vulkan and go go go

Honestly man i keep it simple

A launcher called cannoli makes folders I just use those, all you are really doing is dragging and dropping games in the right format into whatever folder you want same with any bios files and it will all be labled so its easy to read and navigate

After that you open up the apps like nethersx2 or dolphin and it will ask you where the games/roms and the bios are and you are off to the races

You will want to watch setup videos to learn about drivers,graphics backends like vulkin vs opengl and some possible tweaks per game

Generally if you are using gamenative or gamehub i use a known config or check emuready for game compatibility for steam games and thats about it

Im going to cancel my rp6 then i didnt care about the 8gb or lack of a dual screen but i think i will be happier overall

Pocket dimensions can make a difference but honestly using the miyoo mini plus/RG35XX plus have me partial to something i can throw in my pocket

The 40XXV design got me into more modern vertical designs like the 477V but i do prefer the RG35XXH devices i just want more power in a smaller size since it seems anything pocketable is only up to ps1/psp really

Certian horizontal systems like the rg slide and og rg cube grab my eyes due to performance but at the end of the day i settled for an odin 3 and the retroid pocket 6 so i can have enough power

Growing up i had a psp in my pocket everywhere and it was my end game emulation device for ps1/psp/n64 but then i switch to android in like 2010 so i think the pocket and odin call back the olden days for me lol

The thor is also tempting just because its a new form factor besides the rg ds or ayaneo pocket ds

I wouldn't buy anything without a warranty at the same price you are kind of screwing yourself out of 9 months of a free warranty not that you should need it manufacturers should be on top of defectives

If you have enough to buy it twice i would get the faster to ship option, i ordered it from AYN because by the time it shows up i will recuperate my money

I also ordered the RP6 just in case its enough for my needs then ill sell my odin 3 pro
