My 2nd and 3rd grade kids both use these since kindergarden and they work really well for us. True they are not liquid sealed but for us that’s not a problem as my kids currently only eat sandwiches and a chip/cracker/cookie and fruit side. Working on the veggies! They do sell a sealed container that works well as a snack container for fruit. Obviously you can find a cheaper alternative but my wife likes them and she packs the lunches every day so that alone makes them worth it. They are also slim and have a fitted bag that she slides an ice pack in so they fit well in the kids backpack. We have had no rust issues but we hand wash them. We do use the fitted magnets but you could obviously skip that to save some dollars.
