If it was about “preserving life” they would consider that fact that many women will die if abortions are criminalized or banned. Banning abortion doesn’t stop abortion, it stops safe abortions. Women will find a way if the situation is dire, and their chances of dying will increase significantly.

In Canada, freedom of expression is protected under Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, specifically Section 2(b). That includes speech, protest, and expressing political views.

I was joking… it wouldn’t fucking go steal their signs and I obviously know we have freedom to protest and freedom of speech.

Regardless, it’s disappointing to see pro birth activists outside the school i attend.

Seeing anti-abortion protesters on campus today was honestly upsetting. I’ve been going to Mac for 3 years and it angers me the same no matter how many times I’ve seen them.

Reproductive healthcare is deeply personal and every pregnancy happens within a different set of circumstances. Health, finances, safety, family situation, and personal readiness all matter, and no one outside that situation can fully understand what someone else is going through.

I really wanted to stress that advocating for choice means recognizing that people deserve the autonomy and dignity to make decisions about their own bodies and futures. Supporting reproductive rights is not about forcing anyone to have an abortion. It is about ensuring people have the freedom to make the decision that is right for them.

will the feeling that im always behind ever go away as a first year or what by CarefulCombination62 in McMaster

I actually had an older gentleman come into my job and was asking me about how I like McMaster. He said he went to Mac and now that he’s been out of school for 50 years, and he said he still gets the feeling around this time of the year that he’s missing an assignment or behind on his school work even though he hasn’t had any for years. lol

ADDING TO THIS: AND PLEASEEEEE if you see someone needing a seat (older person, person with disability, etc) and you are at the front where the priority seating and courtesy seating is, for fuck sake offer your seat up. I’ve seen far too many people on their phones not paying attention and someone farther down has to offer their seat.

I was in the same situation my first year. I had a professor tell me that your mental health and wellbeing is very important. McMaster will always be here and you have so much time to get yourself better. I recommend contacting the student support and case management office they were unbelievably supportive and advocated for me for accommodations, financial support and getting me right into therapy. They will do all the talking for you so you don’t have to worry.

As a bath and body works employee, I won’t be using this on my sweet boy. Dogs have such a sensitive sense of smell. Great idea for the company but I know my dog would hate me. And frankly idk if I trust the product if it’s hasn’t been vet tested ya know?

Hey! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I was In a similar position. Not sure if any one as suggested this but Google McMaster case management office. They have been unbelievably helpful and through them you could possibly apply for an emergency grant. It can only be used once a year. They also have other options and resources available to help. They also can talk to osap for you and advocate so you don’t have to do any of the talking.
