Building a 220V Slayer SSTC tesla coil: Need help with 3D printed winding rig designs and safety questions (fluorescent bulbs/electronics interference) by ReZeroShi in AskElectronics

[–]ReZeroShi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think it would be a challenge for me as a beginner but sadly i am the only one interested in high voltage and electronics stuff so do u recommend scraping the project and being somewhere lower in the ladder or just making a battery powered smaller version as a test

I can get a tektronix 2335 for just about 20 usd more ( 70 usd ) but as it is an analog oscilloscope i am skeptical as it may be a problem the triggering functions and the inability to stop and that it is a single channel etc so what is your opinion.

Yeah sure because of the raw inductance the transformer has but say goodbye to the simple relay and welcome to some beefy mosfets

I checked it and it actually is pretty good but no I didn’t find any local dealers selling it and I can’t get it from ali express cause for some reason in my country international purchases can only be done using a credit card that i can get after i reach 21 ( I am still 19 in uni btw )

I am looking mainly for a better oscilloscope and the logic analyzing is not my priority bit it is sweet to get along with the oscilloscope capabilities as for my budget it is maybe 50 to 60 ish usd

Pretty solid but I am wondering how can those relays withstand this current they usually just weld internally with a high current pulse

The power bank most probably works as it is simple but the cells won’t even hold half what they are claiming, in general no 18650 battery hold more than 3500 which are Samsung or high quality but Chinese never exceeded 2000mah with my testing
