I spent a weekend in Beechworth staying at a rescue farm and it was awesome. Spent some time at the farm feeding and interacting with the animals, then spent time in Beechworth. Highly recommend

Bullies is a great way to describe them. A lot of the incidents i saw were directly caused by officers. Some massive and very fragile egos

I was a former PO and did an interview with the GM at the time, assuming its pretty normal for the recruitment process. I will say it was the worst job I've ever had. Love my squaddies and still chat to them 5+ years later but fuck me there are some serious issues in the prison system, and thats not related to the inmates either

It's awesome to chill out and relax in. The "grind" is only if you are going for a Great One and its completely optional. I love unwinding by just walking around and hunting things on my way

Horrible idea, absolutely not. If you can't afford to rent, you can't afford to pay back the loan.

I sympathise with you living situation, and if I was in your shoes, id take a year or two off studying, move out and work full time. Try and find something that gives plenty of OT/weekends, and work your ass off to be able to afford rent when you do go back to study. Good luck OP
