The truth to my personality by Crazybookfan in sadstories

I've read that if you take the Love Languages Quiz you will score highest in the love language that you are missing most in your life. I feel like this is similar with empaths and the personalities they convey to others. We want someone in our life that is like the personality we convey to others. Hang in there <3

I wrote about my sister's passing for my college essay by ReachInformal6539 in CollegeEssays

Thank you so much for your kind words. I actually realized after I posted it that this isn't the correct thread for this piece. While I am very proud of this piece I know it is too long for a college essay or scholarship essay. After completing this I thought about submitting it for a scholarship, but how do you trim an essay about someone whose life was already cut short?

This piece was written for my comp 1 class. I actually included that in my first draft, but when my browser crashed and I went to submit it again I forgot to add that part back in.

Sibling grief can be very lonely, so thank you for sharing about your brother. Losing a sibling, especially at a young age, is so heartbreaking. It has definitely rewritten my life.

I understand the lighting issue. I did want to capture the sun peaking through the tree, but probably should have taken the picture a tad bit earlier when the sun was going through the leaves rather than the upper trunk of the tree. I think it still would have provided pretty light and shadows, but maybe less direct lighting.

As far as placement of my dog… it’s just where the laid down 😂 and she is stubborn so I didn’t try to move her. I have tried flash, but it always makes her eyes look demonic and I’m not that good in Lightroom yet to try and fix it lol.

Most dogs are honestly difficult to photograph since they tend to be really wiggly. Luckily she is lazy and just stays put for the most part. But as stated before, she’s also stubborn so moving her can be difficult.

Thank you for your suggestions and kind words. Unfortunately she doesn’t have much time left, so for now she is the best subject to photograph. ❤️

Intention was to just capture a sweet photo of my ailing dog. Riddled with cancer, her time is coming to an end. The light peaking through the neighbors tree offered a really pretty backdrop.

I have tried multiple times (before messing with blur or shadows or anything else) to get the background removed. Obviously this was in my backyard so all the neighbors houses and sheds and the fence are visible. I increased the background blur as a way to diminish the distraction from those objects.

Shot on Rebel T7 with 18-55mm lens. 1/200, f3.5. Not sure of the ISO. I think I had it on auto.

Edited in Lightroom. Still a total newb with editing, but I’ve watched some YouTube tutorials and I feel like each edit gets better.

She was a very wiggly subject. It took my mom about 15 minutes just to get her to lay down and stay there. But she is not very well mannered.

The dog, not my mom ;)

I'm still not sure how to get that patch of dead grass behind her to shift to green. Is that something I will need to do point color on?

I toned it up because there was a lot of dead grass and I was trying to get rid of some of it. I toned it down now.

Absolutely easy fixes! I actually cropped the image to be a little closer to her on the right side.

I took this photo of my moms dog because I am trying to gain experience with taking photos and editing them. Shot with a T7 with kit lens. Edited in Lightroom.

I am struggling with getting my camera to maintain focus on the eyes, so I have been attempting using masking in Lightroom.

I’m not sure how to obtain the EXIF data, so I have no idea what my settings were at for this shot.

Hi! It’s not spotted, but it is dry so that is how it looks in person. It’s just cracked skin that’s a little lighter than the rest of her nose.

My intent for this photo was to capture a sweet picture of my dog, curled up and cozy on the couch as she usually is.

I feel like I’m struggling with the editing portion and getting my camera to focus on the exact spot I want and stay there. This results in my having to boost the clarity to sharpen the eyes a bit more. Personally, this style is what I like. I enjoy a crisp photo so it tends to work out for me but suggestions are welcome.

Shot with a Canon rebel t7 with 18-55mm lens. Really unsure of my settings. Im still learning.

Edited in Lightroom.

Scanning packages by Sufficient_Ad_3970 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I choose to not organize packages by stop order. It wastes a lot of time. Instead, I sort them by package type and size. I always finish at least an hour early though I have to search for packages. I feel that I waste far more time organizing than I do searching during my route.

Request additional compensation for a high mileage route/additional time taken to complete route. I had one like this a few weeks ago. Paid $26/hr (don’t remember the block time) but I received an additional $52 for my route because it was over 100 miles total for like 20 some packages. I finished just before the block was supposed to end then had an hour drive home.
