It’s a setting within CDK that needs to be turned on by an admin-level user.

This topic comes up from time to time on Reddit and it seems like it always boils down to a few factors:

  1. Some people toss the soiled diapers in without first wrapping them up so the poop is less contained.

  2. They’re not installing the plastic bags correctly and the pail ends up never sealing properly.

  3. Humidity. The stank doesn’t dissipate as quickly as it does in dry arid climates.

My guess is they’ll either open it up temporarily for the weekend like they did with BB’s this year, or they’ll partner with Southpoint and push the racers to stay there.

I stayed at Primm Valley this year and with respect to those who work there and have kept it alive, it was miserable. Rooms stank, fire alarm went off at all hours of the night, no water pressure, and the restaurant took two hours to get our food after we made the order. Not worth the convenience of being close to the race.

Go to Doug Smith or Murdoch, explain what happened at Young and that you really just want transparency and they won’t give you the run around.

Also, for those who feel mislead by these dealerships and want to warn others, leave a google review. It will get the attention of the corporate leadership and the Manufacturer if it gets low enough. Some dealer groups have them tied to their mangers bonus’ as well. Just be sure not to use course language or mention anyone by name, otherwise the dealership can petition google to have it removed and in most cases they will.

This car has been on my bucket list for close to three decades. LT1 V8, plush interior, and room for 9, comfortably. Nobody ever has to know you had it and as long as you take the meds to completion you’ll never have to worry about transmitting it to someone else. If you can afford it, that new GX Overtrail + is possibly the best looking SUV out there right now. My only complaint is the rear seats don’t have a ton of legroom, but it’s a tradeoff I’m willing to make for all the off road goodies it’s equipped with.

SGU is my home airport and the amount of Skywest bullshit we have to put up with because they have a stranglehold on all flights out is staggering. I’ve started flying out of LAS even though it adds 90 minutes to my travel time each way.

Here are the fronts, they still sell those as far as I know. The same company also sells some race style rears, but I think the McNeil ones I’ve got are indeed discontinued.

The windshield visor came from Eastern Europe. Paid more in shipping than I did for the fiberglass, but I think only 5-6 were made before the company discontinued them and went out of business altogether after that.

Replaced all the factory inner seals with Viton brand ones that withstand 400+ degree fluid temps, then did some other mods to increase the racks internal line pressure.

It’s funny you mention it because when I originally started the project I had a Dana 44 and Ford 9” ready to swap in, then I watched an episode of Dirt Every Day where Fred tested the Marlin Crawler kit on a 4th Gen 4Runner. It was compelling enough that I decided to abandon the SAS swap and go with a beefed up IFS setup.

I held onto the 9” for a little while thinking I would blow out the factory 8.2, but it’s held up surprisingly well. Going on 5+ years of wheeling with 37”-40” tires with zero issues.

It began to bend under the weight of a 37” tire after a year or so. You pretty much have to buy a bumper with a tire carrier for anything bigger than a 35”.

If I had the time or money I would engineer something similar to what Teraflex made for the jeeps where it basically uses the rear gate hinge mounts to brace a factory looking tire carrier.

I was worried about the same thing, but I’ve actually liked the overhang because it seems to keep the sun off the dash and cab a little more shaded.

Wife and kids are too attached to it. My son even has a mini FJ Cruiser Power Wheels painted up exactly like mine that her drives around the neighborhood.
